thankfully there is still one thread left that isn't a fan thread!! Sure miss the old days where you weren't expected to fart rainbows for the lead and their F1.

Site rules do say that critisizing other posters is a no no.... and comparing some posters to tabloids crosses that line.

That's how I understand the forum rules, respect for forumers and different opinions should trump whatever passionate emotional investment you have for a bach couple that you don't even converse with in real life. In other words you can be negative about a reality tv couple/contestant but you cannot attack/critisize a forumer, its the rule of thumb for any tv forums.



*** I suggest there will a password for a non-fawning forum/thread and its only be for invitation. I so miss the old forum where intelligent, snarky funny people exchange their thoughts. Too late for Sean's season but in future seasons perhaps.

Thanks for saying that!! I wish we had a forum where only members who KNOW THE COUPLE PERSONALLY can write...one that includes true, honest, non-opinion facts about the couple! While I love to hear everyone's viewpoints during the season (while the "game" is on), once the b'ette has WON I would prefer hearing the truth and nothing but the truth. It truly creeps me out (as I've said before) that the game is over and they still have no privacy. JMHO

they're tweeting up a storm and loving every minute of the attention. It's not going to be all good attention, but it is what it is when you put yourself out there like that. Sean did the Bach'ette, the Bach and now DWTS for one reason and one reason only..... he wants attention and to get his name out there. Once the new bachelor rolls around, Sean will be old news. IMO, Des's guys are better looking and I already feel like have more personality than Sean. Not that I don't like Sean cause I like him and think he's a nice guy, but comparing these guys? New guys win by a mile. Of course all my opinion though.

I've been a supporter and hoped that Sean and Catherine will be the next JP and Ashley and still wish the best for them but I still think their relationship could have been better out of the spotlight. But I guess they should soak in whatever they can.

Please let's not talk too much about Des' guys in this thread. I like to stay as unspoiled for as long as possible (at least the first four episodes) and never read the episode spoilers as I hate knowing who gets date/goes home before episode airs.

Back to Sean ... I became a Sean fan post Bachelorette when I watched how he handled himself in interviews. He just comes across as a regular guy and a kind person who means well. He doesn't seem to have a big ego at all. I also LOVE Catherine and it makes me like him even more that he picked her.

At face value the fact that Sean went on the Bachelorette, was the Bachelor, is on DWTS and possibly will have a televised wedding actually DOES SEEM like his priority is self promotion/career on tv. However, based on all that I've seen/read, I THINK that he has been presented with opportunities and he's taking advantage of them. I put him more in the category of a Jillian than a Jake P. If Sean had been booted from Emily's season early, I don't think we'd see him scrambling for another tv gig.

There is a recent interview with Sean being followed by paps after DWTS practice. The videographer/pap asked him about the Diva article in the tabloids and even asked if Sean's publicist planted the article for the coverage/hits (which I took to mean that it's well known even among paps that Sean is nice guy).

Sean said, "I hope not" and that he was the only "regular" person on DWTS, which he explained as meaning he had no special talent or skill. He said, "I am just a regular dude who happened to be on a reality dating show so I am the last one to have any reason to being a diva."

I found the whole exchange to be very refreshing. Even when Sean was on Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy asked about ABC televising the wedding. Sean said something along the lines of "they flip the whole bill" meaning that all this money is just too good for him to pass up.

I hope Sean can continue to keep his head on straight and then when the opportunities run dry, take the money and run away with Catherine to start living that "regular guy" life in Dallas or wherever.

EDIT: Ah ... yes, I wish that he was not endorsing Hydroxycut but even Jillian Michaels puts her name on some sort of diet drug so who knows.

No worries! Just wanted to post a friendly reminder. I enjoy season more and obsess a whole lot less when I stay unspoiled for as long as possible. But as soon as I am spoiled, I come on here to read about the top contenders. I still TRY VERY HARD to not know the play-by-play for each episode ahead of time even when I am spoiled to final 4 guys.

It's amazing what all the awesome sleuthers on this site can find out about the show before it airs.

Last season I managed to not know anything other than the f4 even though I knew it fairly early on. I hate knowing the details of every episode going in. I just stayed out of certain threads and it worked. Good luck. :Smiley:
