Sean didnt spend one dime to be with Catherine. I mean what are you gonna do with $100,000 with a broken engagement
?. But, its all moot cause he's already dancing/prancing around for whatever amount.

Molly Jason, Ashley and JP seemed to be doing okay, without any help from DWTS. The thing what is he gonna do if all the money is gone and he cannot earn easy money through abc anymore? As I said, money can be earned but time that can be used to really invest in the relationship, can't be earned back.

I don't think the network/dwts cared about seeing those people on TV after the bachelor/ette though. Correct me though. I took a break from the forum and didn't follow Ashley/JP, Ben/Courtney, Emily/Jef very closely. Also, on the bachelor Jason didn't spend one dime on Molly, she wasn't even his first choice, does that make him as sleazy as Sean?

I don't think Molly/Jason or Ashley/JP made anywhere near 1million. I hope they did though, why not?!

If Sean/Cat are truly in love the media exposure/whoring (like everyone else has done on this show) won't break their relationship.

Trista/Ryan were paid the most because she was the first. Molly/Jason got some money ... I don't know how much ... but, my understanding is that is was significantly less ... I heard anywhere from $25,000 to $100,000. Same for Jash. However, their whole wedding was paid for so they did not have to foot any of the costs and had help with all the planning. I doubt that Sean and Cat would make the same as Trista, but, I suspect they will make slightly more than M/J or JP/A.

Also, Trista did DWTS and it hasn't seemed to have hurt her relationship with Ryan so I suspect Sean and Cat will be just fine.

What exactly does Sean do for a living? I know it's something to do with insurance, but doens't he just work for his brother in law as an insurance salesman? or something along those lines?

I think Sean did the ette the Bach and DWTS for the $$$$ and that's going to be his number one priority, even over Cat.

I think Jason and Ashley are different in the sense that they actually did the show in the hopes of finding somebody to spend their life with, so once they found them, they were more interested in creating a life together than they were chasing some far fetched dream of stardom.

Cat will probably wise up soon and be the one to end it once she catches on to the fact that Sean will do anything for attention.... even get married on tv.

Somehow being "grounded" and being a spokesperson for the product Hydroxycut seem to be diametrically opposed. JMO I guess you could possibly be grounded and still receive financial benefit from a sham like product. Anything's possible.

Hydroxycut bothers me too. The rest - DWTS, etc. - why pass up the opportunity. Being away from Cat those hours isn't an issue - so many other alternatives, even the mundane ones still would have kept them apart many hours. The wedding - well they don't want to wait 2 years so need to go along with their contract. But for Sean to jump on Hyrdroxycut without investigting a bit makes you wonder if his name and reputation is important to him or money. He could have gone with any number of "fitness" opportunites. Compbining fitness with "green" probably would have been ideal if there's a way to do that (probably is).

I believe that someone in the past posted the contract details on Bach and 'ette weddings within the two year time frame. I think the details broke down to, wedding paid for 100% and 10k per person for the airing. TPTB never wanted to be caught with their pants down financially in negotiations after Trista and Ryan's wedding.

Due to a variety of factors, even with a lot of promotion, Ashley and JP's wedding tanked and was a TV ratings loser. While Sean probably has a little more negotiating power, given his favorable Q score, marketability and relevancy (if they marry near term), ultimately I don't think the network is going to pony up a lot of cash for the wedding beyond expenses and a "small salary" for the two of them. The wedding looks to be a way for them to extend their 15 mins and build their PR brand for future gigs as well as cover costs for a showy affair.

Perhaps Hydroxycut will buy some ad time during the wedding show and Sean can double up on his payday when the ads air. Probably won't happen as two different images would collide.

Sean sold insurance during his stint on the Bette, but, he no longer does that. He and some friend have opened a new custom furniture company called Factory Girl. I'm sure all this publicity isn't hurting their sales...kind of like Ben and his wine.

I think while Ashley may have hoped to find someone, she was also using the Bachelorette as a way of paying off her school bills...much like Travis did. I don't think anyone does this show just to find love. That is ludicrous and I would question their sanity if they did. Most come for a variety of reasons...adventure, fun, travel, getting themselves out of a rut, meeting new people, career opportunity, advertising their current business (music, acting, modelling, wine, etc), fame, hopes of becoming Bach or Bette and making some money. Love I think comes far down the list. I don't think Sean is any different than the rest of them in that respect.

Of the 'variety of factors', I expect that the longevity from the ending of her season to her wedding was the biggest factor. The fact that JP/Ashley didn't stay in front of cameras to fan the flames of their notoreity had a lot to do with viewers watching. Except for die-hard bachelor fans, "Ashley and JP, who?" There may be a greater ratings in Sean and Catherine's wedding if a date is set while he is on DWTS, and with nudges of promos about their planning along the way. Clearly, it won't air in conflict with the airing of Desiree's season, and it won't be set to compete with the ratings on DWTS... and all these shows seems to share the Monday block of time. On top of that, if they promote too much during DWTS, it will promote speculation that he is not being eliminated from the show because of the wedding coverage and not because he turns out to be a bad dancer. Most viewers of DWTS think this is a competition show - which we know that it isn't. But, clearly, it will have to field accusations of bias if they are not careful when they schedule it. As long as they air a wedding sooner than later, I think we'll see a greater public response... that, and the fact that his fan base is much larger than Ashley's ever was.

I agree. Ash had her wedding a year and a half after her season. By then the audience had moved on to other Bach/Bachettes. Her "story" had lost momentum. Plus it was televised on a Sunday in December. How weird. Sean will have the benefit of a continuous audience from the bach through DWTS. They will continue to "hype" him, he will gain even more curious fans as a result of doing DWTS and that will build momentum for a summer wedding.

Not really sure what's the harm in doing DWTS for the money. Jason, Molly, & JP still did their jobs and Ashley had to work & finish school. I guess you could say that took time away from their relationships if Sean's 8 hrs of practice does. I wouldn't in any case because you don't have to be with each other 24 hrs a day to build a relationship. I don't think DWTS was an option for Jason but Ashley has said she would have loved to do it. I don't have a problem if anyone from the show takes advantage of the offers. Melissa & Ali have taken a lot of flack but I think it's great, ditto for Jillian & Chris.

Sucess in life and love is often making the most of the opportunities presented to you. It's all about choices and taking chances. And doing the work to make it a sucess. Seems to me that, at least at this point, that is exactly what Sean and Catherine are doing. Kudos to them.

@Grynch206 congrats!

Why would she give this guy the time of day now that she is dating Sean? Clearly his video has 1 M views thanks to word getting out that she dated him. This guy is just bad PR for her. His tweets are vulgar.
