First post-I usually lurk:-). I think Ashley convinced herself she was the F1. I mean, the girl had a ring picked out! I think after Dez left, she probably thought the other 2 girls (being younger and more playful) are no competition to her.

I'm convinced Sean may have said something like "i'm not worried about the others girls; or I'm don't care about the other 2 girls Right now, I'm with you" and in Ashlee's mind it meant something totally different!

I also think producers put her up to it...what better way to create drama for ATFR.

Welcome! and I agree. Those could have easily been the words he spoke, especially if she was expressing insecurity about their relationship. Good call.

Allow me to share a thought from a mans perspective:

The only reason a man would have lied to a woman in the fantasy suite scenario is to get sexual favors.

Everyone knows Sean is celibate. It's strongly suggested he is celibate with his fiancée. So why would Sean lie to AshLee?

Answer: he wouldn't. That was one of the most vindictive things I've ever seen.

Cosign, Capitan. This man has been on this show before, and he was at the MTA(N) He was very aware that things said could come back to haunt him. I do not believe for a moment he said what she claims. Miss AshLee quite well could have interpreted something incoreectly, but I do not think so. It was vindictive, and calculated to regain the upper hand. Control...sung in the famous Jackson style!

Next comes the accusation that I did not see coming. AshLee proceeded to tell me that during the course of our overnight date, I told her that I didn't have feelings for the other two women.

Let me set the record straight – I never said that. I would never say that. It just doesn't make sense. Of course I had feelings for the other two women. That's been apparent for weeks! And not only did I have feelings for them, I was falling in love with them. I even had feelings for women like Des and Leslie, who weren't even there anymore. of course he's going to deny it, whether he said it or not. Figuring out what really happened is about reading between the lines... not reading a self defense quote. It's all about credibility I guess. And as much as I think that Ashlee still needs some therapy..... I do believe that he said something a lot more specific than some of the words people are trying to put in his mouth.

Was age a factor in Sean letting Ashlee go? To me, Ashlee was always the "dark horse' because she was 32, older than the other gals. Age is just a number? That's true, often, and untrue, often. Some 32 year olds are immature and some 24 year olds are mature. But, please, I'll give Ashlee credit for having been on this planet longer than the other gals. I would think a 32 year old would take rejection, from a younger man, harder than if she was 24. And, with Ashlee's early rejection, as a child, rejection would be doubly hard. So, I think that Ashlee needed to defend her reaction, when Sean dumped her, which was televised on national TV, BTW. And, she needed to defend why she thought she was the F1. I think Sean may have said things to Ashlee which she could have misunderstood. This is TB, after all. This is the breeding ground for misunderstandings. This is where misunderstandings fester. How could misunderstandings not occur, when filming takes place over a few weeks, rather than several months? I think Sean and Ashlee, the production process and the whole Bachelor premise play a part in any misunderstandings that occur. When Sean and Ashlee signed on the dotted line, they agreed to be pawns of The Bachelor viewers, because, ultimately, it is The Bachelor viewers who run the show and pay the bills. If the viewers stop watching, the show won't go on.

I weighed in a bunch last night, so I won't repeat... but I do think that producers encouraged AshLee to speak up.... whether they brought up a sentiment that she had disclosed the evening she was let go or one she expressed later.... production knew, full well, what AshLee felt and believed (and I do believe SHE believes that Sean said what she think- what he actually said is up for debate). Production has its ways- showing the episode (so AshLee could relive the "dumping" for the first time), talking to her and reminding her how she felt at the time, giving her several glasses of wine, to elicit the reaction they want..... oh sure it was there all the time, but they (production) had learned over the course of the 9 weeks she was filming how to manipulate her, too. Unfortunately for AshLee.

Also want to add that human nature when being told you've said something you didn't is to get a little uptight, indignant and the worlds flow out of your mouth and it usually gets a little heated. When lying.... you have to remain calm and controlled and really think about you're saying so you don't slip up. This is what I saw Sean doing last night.
