People watching seem to forget that this is Seans journey and HIS journey to find love. This is not 'who is the perfect woman'.

Interesting. I don't know that people expect a perfect woman- "perfect" doesn't really exist because everyone is subjective. I think some people are really falling into AshLee's therapy-speak though. Personally it would drive me nuts and she would have been gone long ago. Lucky this is t my 'journey'.

I think Ashlee was all about her journey and her falling in love with him. I think this format is the worst for someone like her because she's so intense that she's only thinking about her feelings for Sean and not if she is a good match for him. It's tough for those on the show because the lead can't tell them what they're feeling nor what they're not feeling until they send them home. I think Ashlee can lean something from watching the show assuming she is. IRL guys don't want someone to be too serious too soon either.

Last night I really felt that Ashlee was completely holding Sean responsible for her happiness. I don't feel that she is a happy person inside at all. It appears to me that her happiness is based on someone else instead of first being happy herself. I think her ring descriptions is what may have made Sean believe he needed to let her go sooner rather than later. I also think she really under estimated the fact that Sean had real relationships with the other ladies. Her reaction to being sent home was really disturbing to me. I understand that she was hurt but I think her reaction was rather extreme.

I agree; I never warmed to her. This has to be the worst season, for me, since Lorenzo. I have never done this amount of FFing for this franchaise.
Then we see him confused about letting Ashlee go right after he tells Chris he is in love. ???? Come on. And then he says '"I think the world of you"
This is a relationship that I definately know is not going to go the distance. I usually hold some hope and expectation. Catherine is a spit fire and will find a man when she is ready who will be a good fit. Sean? We shall see.
i loved Ashlee's reaction! It was a refreshing change.

I guess it's why they always say to heal yourself before you seek out a relationship. When you say Ashlee can learn something from this, I think the only thing she needs to learn is to step outside of herself a little bit, to try to understand who the guy is, too. Guys come in all varieties, and many guys prefer a serious girl like her. Plus, in my personal experience, many (if not most) guys become serious much more quickly than the girl does, so her pace IRL is probably not out of step with many guys'.

Again, the need to heal yourself first before entering a relationship comes into play. She can only be sensitive to another person's needs when she is healed enough to not have to take so much time & energy to focus on her own needs.
I actually liked her reaction to being sent home. It was as raw, honest, and real as this show ever gets.
I'm guessing she felt a huge mix of emotions, and she held it together without pretending a pleasant face, yet she let her feelings be known. I can only imagine being in her shoes, I'd want to high-tail it outta there, too LOL. If Sean had told me "give me a chance to explain - let me have closure" I would have said "email me your closure" and jumped into the car asap. Not everyone can think straight when their emotions run high, and Ashlee's attempt to keep her dignity intact gets a thumbs-up from me. If anything, Sean should have recognized Ashlee's personality type and not pushed for closure then and there, respecting her preference to just get out of there.
IMO this season would have been more ideal if AshLee's and Lesley's positions were switched. He didn't give Lesley enough of a chance, and he strung AshLee along too long. Alternately, just like Brad did with AshleyH, and just like Sean himself did with Sarah, this would have been a good opp for Sean to pull Ashlee aside at the start of the rose ceremony, talk to her about his feelings, and let her go privately, instead of putting her through a rose ceremony dismissal. Given her personality type, it would have been the kindest thing for Sean to do, given that he took AshLee to F3.

See I disagree, I do not think it was extreme at all. She was hurt and felt blindsided and a little angry. All understandable imo. I personally think he should have let her go a couple of weeks ago when he knew she was getting too serious too fast.

Adding to your point, AshLee's was a typically male reaction to being broken up IMO. They just clam up and head straight for the door, overwhelmed by their own emotion, and wanting to deal with it all privately. Just like when men do it, there was nothing wrong with AshLee behaving like this.

Re: Episode 9 (FD's) - 2/25 - Bachelor 17 - Discussion - Spoilers
I talked to a couple of coworkers and majority of them said Ashley was pissed. I agree to many that could be an extreme. But to her he was her "Everything as an ideal husband" and I am wondering at that point if she did not see Catherine and Lindsay were there for the same reason she was. Thats why she mentioned how serious this was to her. But I think once she saw the season air, I think her oppinnion has changed. Even Lesley and Des mentioned how strong the connection between Sean and Catherine is. I don't remember another lady that has been let go at F3 that acted as angry as she did and did not at least go sit for a minute so the lead could explain why they were leaving. She just wanted to leave and deal with it on her own and I am suprised she did not smack him across the face. But Sean being the guy he is wanted to make sure she understand what happened and I think that is why he went and sat for a while after she left. He needed to get himself together before going back to Catherine and Lindsay. He new at this point it was going to be very difficult for him, but I don't think he completely understand how hard.

Re: Episode 9 (FD's) - 2/25 - Bachelor 17 - Discussion - Spoilers
I agree with wishing he had let AshLee go before HTD and kept Lesley longer. For several episodes now, AshLee seemed fully in the relationship and truly not taking notice that Sean was not. I too hope that watching these past few episodes will help AshLee to see that Sean is just a happier, more carefree guy with Catherine in particular and also with Lindsay. With AshLee Sean had to be her savior who set her free (whether he wanted that role or not) and that's a lot of pressure for anyone.
THANK you to the producers/editors for finally showing us why Catherine is his F1. I believe that Sean fell in love with Catherine in Thailand just as she did him. They really share a great connection and could be one of those couples who always seem to be in their own little world and sharing their own private jokes that nobody else quite thinks is as funny. I got teary eyed every time she got teary eyed - esp in the preview when Sean's dad is so kind to her. The producers are letting America finally fall in love with Catherine right when Sean starts falling in love with her ... and maybe that was the plan all along.
I also really started to like Lindsay a whole lot more and would be happy to see her as bachelorette. While I doubt Catherine would have lasted as long as she has with other Bachelor's as lead, I think that Lindsay is top four material with pretty much any guy. She is adventurous, sexy and fun. My only red flag is the fact that her friends teased Lindsay about majoring in her "MRS." in college. Would Lindsay have fallen for any Bachelor lead or something special about Sean? It will be interesting when she's the kid in the candy shop as Bachelorette to see if someone like Sean is actually her type.

I really don't like these "Stepfordwives", like Ashlee. She was to controlling and not spontaneous enough for Sean. In her world everything has to be perfect.
I really love Catherine, because she is just the opposite. She came to the date on her flat shoes, simple dress and hardly any make-up. She doesn't care about getting wet or dirty. I can see why Sean likes her. She's a fresh breathe of air.
