I think it has a lot to do with what the producers haven't shown. From what I was told a lot of Catherine & Sean's private 1-on-1 conversations were left on the cutting room floor. I am not sure why. That is what I am confused about. I am basing a lot of my opinions about what I see each week and the information that was shared with me. I still wonder honestly why she got such a late 1-on-1 date and only one at that. I guess those questions might be answered after the season ends.

Sean and Catherine are engaged now. She must have touched his heart in a way the other girls didn't.

Yep ... I'm more and more thinking that tptb have been seriously hiding Catherine this season for a reason. Too obvious ... wanted to place doubts in our mind about RS prediction. Thus the late one on one. He knew already. The date wasn't important. Would still like to see the WHOLE love story ... the parts the producers are hiding. Hoping they release more footage after the finale.

On the late one-on-one:

I find the Catherine and Sean line that was suggested a few weeks ago (through Sean's line to Catherine at a pre-rose ceremony cocktail party) to be plausible: Sean started out unsure if Catherine felt anything romantic towards him, if they truly just were fantastic buddies. In which case, it is possible the producers saw something Sean didn't and wanted to give it time (as if they'd actually do what is best for a relationship ... well, one can hope), or Sean wasn't super sure at first and wanted to give it time ... recurring theme, give it time.

Or maybe Sean (or the producers) just wanted to burn through his potential "its just lust" women first.

Or maybe Sean wasn't sure for a while if they could work, given how different they are on paper.

But all along, I've noticed they show Catherine right up next to Sean a whole lot. I've learned to look for that. They clearly are hiding the actual development of a relationship in the edit, but leaving some easter eggs for the long time fans.

So my in-laws are in the land of "unspoiled." Both are in their late 70's they live up the mountains of Shenandoah and they go by what is shown on TV. Both are highly-educated former Washington DC dwellers who decided to retire to mountains with no internet so they have analyses and discussions with one another. So here we go...

Their top 2? Dez and Lindsay, week b4 Dez and Selma. But they are partial to Catherine (my FIL is Filipino, my MIL is German - looked like Grace Kelly when she was younger - oh yes and their 3 sons are gorgeous, hubby being one of them). They dislike Tierra and are afraid a repeat of Ben's season may happen. Anyway, they do think that Catherine will make it to the final 4 - only because of their partiality I think. And BTW, my in-laws are die hard B/B'ette fans. Because they are two of the remaining unspoiled for the season, I call them regularly now just to get their insight every week to see how each episode change their perspectives. I think I will post their insights every week to share the "unspoiled view of the elderly!" Hehe.

^holy crap! Girl is strong! And Sean came close to getting a handful of Catherine right there.

They must show this tonight. I want to know if he challenged her and she wanted to prove him wrong.

I read your question wrong last night. Based on what some of my unspoiled friends think Catherine isn't someone they think will be in the F2.

I think Sean put Catherine in his Top 2 after she told him he wasn't just a "friend". I think after that conversation their relationship got stronger and his other relationships started to fizzled out.
