My apologies for the comparison but I haven't seen an F4 so out of the bubble as Dez since Graham (not saying it's the same result). I see similarities in their state of awareness.

You would think if her parents were going to be part of the HTD it would have been in OH. If she's keeping her family from Sean then I think she's trying to pull away from him.

To your point, the prank at the beginning of the season with the "artwork" was so, so telling, and froUm her reaction I formed my impression of her. Dez wasn't fooled, and she didn't even pretend to be fooled. Nor she didn't laugh at the joke, nor did she say "I wasn't fooled". Her only reaction was a lackluster "I didn't do it", which almost seemed like an "I don't care, not my problem" reaction. Kind of a scrappy, street-smart reaction, if you ask me.

Desiree seems too common-sense no-BS intelligent for Sean for a long-term relationship. I always thought she'd be better suited for someone more complex and astute.

thanks for pointing that out!! I remember thinking at the time that the prank fell flat and he/they didn't get the desired reaction they thought they'd get... or would have gotten from somebody else.

Des and Sean would be a terrible match in the long run. Glad she didn't go further than HTD's, would have wasted both of their time.

I agree with these assessments. I think that Catherine was rising and it coincided with Dez falling out of any true feelings for him. Knowing now the life that Dez had, I can see her struggling with Sean long term.

I am also curious if the show's intention behind the prank was also to facilitate Sean's decision-making. By essentially "threatening" his relationship with her by introducing an "ex" desirous of her, it forces Sean to confront his true feelings for Dez: would he fight for her? It appears that he doesn't ultimately.

Are we sure that Dez planned the prank and it wasn't all producer driven? Play it on both of them to see the reactions?

Anyway, I don't think that Sean is as in deep for Dez as Dee with Graham; I think Montana turned him around from her just as things were heating up with Catherine. JMO.

I am surprised that she uses Molly's ominous line, "I think that you're making a huge mistake."

And let's not forget that tptb don't care about the lead finding love, they only want to set up their next Bach/ette... so they make darned sure that the one they have thier sights set on doens't get chosen. Brad choosing Emily really messed up thier plans for a season (thank goodness or we'd have missed Ash and JP!) so they've decided to never let that happen again (Cassie was used last season to make sure that Emily didn't choose Arie) Going by edit and who's getting a positive one - I'd say it's Desiree. Ashley is being show to be an emotional mess and very needy, Lindsey is being shown as a ditzy drinker.... so there's no setup there... ergo, I'm going to say that Desiree is the one that MF set his sights on early on. This isn't MF and Co.'s first rodeo, they know how to stear the lead away from a contestant... and they know how to get a contestant to back away from the lead. easy peasy

After DeAnna's Season ended alot of viewers felt that DeAnna never got over Graham. Imo, there will be alot of viewers who will question whether Sean really falls for Catherine, eventho we know that Catherine fell for him. TPTB made a point of showing us how Catherine feels about Sean; but, there is a question mark about whether there will be time enough for him to get over Tierra and then fall in love with Catherine before the end of the show.

It's not that I don't like him per se, I just find him boring and as the season progresses I'm finding him less sincere than I did at the beginning. ITA with the bolded statement. That is what's missing in the show for me.

I don't see Sean as in love with Tierra at all. With Deanna it was clear that she was gaga over Graham to the exclusion of the other guys. Ditto Ben with Courtney. Sean does like Tierra but he also appears to have strong feelings for a few others.

I don't see this as a problem for viewers to believe he fell for someone else. Ali seemed to be really into Frank and (I believe) he was the true f2 yet it was believable when she ended up happily with Roberto. You could say the same thing with Bentley who reminds me of Tierra. Ashley H seemed so into him but clearly fell for the right guy for her as the season went on.

I think I disagree about TPTB not caring if the lead finds true love. I think they want more successes. Nothing makes them happier than a two-hour "television event" wedding. Actually, I think that's why they chose Sean over Arie. Sean had a better chance of actually ending up with a wife from the show. In terms of the next Bette, strange that you should think Desiree is the front runner. RS (as odious as he is) says that it's Lindsay for sure if she wants it, and he says that's not his opinion, but fact. As much as I love it when he's wrong, he rarely is.

as I mentioned earlier, with the many times Tierra had "emergency calls" particularly in Lake Louise's where she could have died of hypothermia, Sean wasn't as distraught as a person who is deeply in love with her. Imagine Brad Canada if Bianka was in that situation?

IA that they do care if there's a happy ending but also enjoy the drama so it's often at odds. I don't agree about RS. If I remember right he said 100% that Roberto would be the Bachelor this season. I wonder why they're highlighting the drinking with Lindsay if they really want her? Lesley & Desiree are getting much better edits and both are popular with viewers.

Exactly.... There are WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY more differences in the pranks in my opinion. One was a material thing breaking... The other could have been Sean's heart breaking. If I had been Sean I would have not only not laughed at the prank, I would have been p*ssed!..But then that's just me.

It would have also been interesting to have watched Sean had it been one of the girls that we know he's interested in.....
