I just went through the same thing. So now I just use instagram and copy the picture link to this site: http://ctrlq.org/instagram/ per GA's instruction.
You copy the entire text that comes up in the box. If you want to reduce the photo size, where says 100%, change it to 40%.
But when I pull up Instagram, it shows one picture at a time. With iconosquare, it displayed a whole bunch of different follower's pictures.

Yes, that is driving me crazy. I have also tried Websta. But it is the same thing.
Any other suggestions out there to replace Iconosquare? Free Instagram viewers?
TIA.

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
The last time I searched, it seems a lot of people are not happy because there doesn't seem to be an alternative.
Try this.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
It will say the account is private. Search a name in the search bar, and see if you can find users that way. I'm not sure because I have IG so not sure if it will work for those who don't have it.

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
I was able to embed (is that the correct term?) an Instagram post, but what else do I need? ie -> a source and/or a caption. If either, how do I do tha or do I just manually type their user name and their comments?

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
All you need to do is copy the IG username/comments. It's easier than typing it all out, plus it should be exact.
Hightligh the username and copy, bring it to your post, paste it. Remove the emoji's, they are not compatable with this forum. You can replace them with the forum emojis' or you should indicate what emoji's are posted in the post/tweet.
Also, using quote makes a neater appearance.
Use the quote icon, first icon in the third box. Space it out to make room for the post. Paste everthing in there. It should look like this:
[quote ][/ quote]
You want to space it out
[quote ]
Insert whole post in here.
[/ quote]

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
Ok so that is my problem..... I cannot highlight the username or comments or anything. It just keeps taking me to direct message them. Darn.

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
How do you post a photo from instagram/twitter? I can post a link, but I would like to know how to post the actual photo in a thread. TIA!

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
The easiest way. IG
Click the IG pic once to enlarge it. Copy the link in the address bar.
Go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Paste the link in there, click "generate code"
Copy the whole code it generates, and post it in the reply box. Don't leave any characters out
This will give you the pic and all the comments, including the username so you don't have to provide a source.
You have to make sure you delete any emoji's, it will mess up the post. You can replace them in the same spot using our own emoji's in the smilie next to the normal smile.
Twitter -
Unless someone has anything easier this is what I do.
Copy the username and comments, post them in the reply box - make sure you remove emoji's.
Go back to the twitter picture - right click on it
If you see "copy image address" click it, nothing happens, go back to your reply box
leave a line or two under the comments you posted, choose "insert image" paste it in there, click insert
Sometimes I don't have the option to "copy image address" but there is
"view page source"
If so, click that, a page will come up with a bunch of codes
ctrl F
A little box opens up top right hand of your screen
type jpg
the first line comes up with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] ends in jpg. The jpg is hightlighted
Copy the whole line starting at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and ends in jpg no quotes " or periods
Paste it in the Insert Image box
You can play in this thread.

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
If I use my iPad to post a reply/quick reply, I can't insert any emoticons, or any pictures, change the fonts or bold the text. Others have the same problems with iPads?

Re: Technical Questions - How do you...?
If you upgraded your iPad or iPhone with a newer version there is a problem using it with this forum.
Support says to make sure you are using mobile version. I understand some do not care for the mobile version.
I'm checking everyday for info on what they are going to do about this. There are many who are in the same boat.
