Re: The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion
I think they'll use the women to create most of the drama. They like to do that. I'm sure Sean is serious about falling in love. I think other guys who have done the show have hoped to fall in love too. I bet most of them hoped to fall in love with a gorgeous model like Ben and Courtney.

I hope you don't mind if I elaborate on your artwork. It is excellent by the way!

I like the addition Kasha. I've been watching this show since the beginning and I don't remember a time when somebody wasn't thrown under the bus. It's a show. It's what they do.

As far as Sean, I am not sure what to expect. He didn't particularly enthrall me during Emily's season, but seemed like a nice guy. I hope he is up to the challenge of doing this show. It can test the best of them!

esmile I think it's going to be a particularly big challenge for Sean (as opposed to bob Guiney or Jake.) That's what has me curious. Is Sean's challenge going to be the unspoken theme? Nah. Who am I kidding. The producers love to smack us over the head . They think their audience has to have it spelled out 15 times. If they are upfront about it - will it change any parts of the show? Will Sean not have any overnites (in a tent etc.) dates until the FS dates? Will he refuse to do hot tubs? Will he refrain from kissing anyone for the first few weeks? What will the differences be for his season and how on earth is he going to navigate it all?I hope he is up to the challenge of doing this show. It can test the best of them! Hug

You pose some excellent questions! Nice to see someone with their thinking cap on!
I am curious to see if he refrains from kissing anyone in the beginning and if he will refuse to engage in certain activities and also the FS dates.
How he handles this process may be as important as what actually happens.

If Sean sticks to his Christian values, there is no way he will end up with a "Vienna" type. I would hope he'd see through that type of woman right away. I predict he will end up with an attractive, all-American type brunette. JMHO.

Big Seannie supporter here...but hey...he signed up for it...his sister is very familiar with the show...I'm certain he knows what's what...I think we posters take the show more seriously than the cast themselves. Sean will have his adventure and maybe, just maybe a relationship in the end. The show's premise is a farce...I just look for the entertainment value! Sean's a good guy...he'll survive...they all do!

Based on Sean's post-show comments, I think he's very pragmatic about the whole deal. He totally gets that they have a show to produce and understands what that might entail. Some of his statements appeared to indicate that he was wise to the producers' motivations for doing things as well. However, he's also stated that essentially your edit is based on the material that you provide to them - good and bad. He appears to be a big believer in personal responsibility.
From past interviews, the selection process (rose ceremony) and sending women home part is what he seemed to fear the most, i.e. making a mistake and hurting feelings.

Re: The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion
Most people know that I liked Brad, the real life Brad, and feared his being on a second time under the producers' manipulations. He was asked to do the second season instead of Jake, and another friend and I threatened to come down to Austin to talk him out of if. A later season the little bugger signed on the dotted line for his second season before we could talk him out of it, but I doubt that would have done any good.
You all have no idea how much I did not want him to do it, but it is his life and his choice, and I would stand by it.
He truly is the one man that stood up to he producers and said "No, I do not have to propose or pick anyone" and he was hated his first season. With more time, plus information dispersed of the manipulations and such, he was seen as doing the right thing for the most part. Then his second season he picked the woman that RS said was not F1  , and heck broke lose again.
That being said, does anyone remember how many times I told posters that we must give him a chance, that we should not assume anything about him, that I did not like what was posted about him, that I criticized others' posts about him pre-season, during airing, and post-season for both shows?
Zero.

As with so many things, there is the story told, and there is the story itself.

I think Sean will do okay as the next Bach. He has just one little habit that i noticed on Emily's season and that was licking his lips , but other than that I
Think Sean will suprise most viewers and make a Great season ,
