The Machine really built Matt Grant into something he wasn't for his promo season--that was really funny, but even funnier that fans thought he actually was a financial big shot. Machine morph.

It is nothing new. They always enhance their leads. With the girls it is extensions and fancy wardrobes and with guys it is careers and financial success...very stero typically...girls have to be pretty with long hair and guys have to be powerful financially. It's all a part of the grand illusion and fairy tale.

Did they really do that to the guys?? I would think the girls themselves would want to have better make up, hair and wardrobe etc. I certainly would want that! But I never noticed that they changed the careers of the male leads, In what seasons did they do that??

I don't see what the problem with Sean being an insurance salesman. Does it make him boring, not necessarily. We will have to see what his personality will be like. He's working and making a living. It's steady and stable income.

It really is more what the girls are looking for. If they are looking for an entertainment career than maybe Sean wouldn't be their choice but if they are serious about finding someone to settle down with and have the same desires than maybe he is.

I doubt the show gave Sean money to buy into a business. They're more about making something out of nothing and using creative job titles. They may have suggested he do it though. They used Insurance Agent as his title last time so will be interesting to see what they do for his show. Entrepreneur?

We "stage" homes to show them in the best light when we list them for sale. TPTB want their "star" to look as bright as possible. I too am anxious to see how they spin it.

Roberto would have been my second choice, but I would have rather seen Kalon before Sean in the lead.

what was Jason's occupation?

He was listed as an account executive and the single dad was pushed hard too. In case anyone is interested I will be around a ton for Sean's season. :WAVEY: I have not been posting much since Ashley's season.

I think Sean's a insurance salesman but he's partnered with his best friend Clay and his sister Jessie with The Factory Girl. Its a store with custom made furniture and purses. Sean is the "PRESIDENT". So I think there's more to Sean than meets the eye...JMO

Sorry, I didn't mean to imply that they changed the careers of the guys...they just always seem to emphasize the career in the best possible verbiage to convey power and success....LOL I am not explaining myself very well I am afraid...... it is just the sense that I get that they "market" the girls as feminine beauty and the guys as sucessful career men, moguls, entrepreneurs, executives. LOL in other words no one is ever the waitress from Rosey's Diner and the Garbage collection man....in other words ordinary mortals need not apply LOL.

They did give Grant a physical makeover though so I can see them not being above tipping Sean towards a more successful sounding career direction for their purposes....now whether they have or not is pure speculation on our part as we don't even have offical confirmation that he is the chosen one yet. And personally I don't care if they have either way...it doesn't change the essence of the man. Whether he is an insurance salesman or a business entreprenuer, it is what he has to offer in the way of personality that counts.
