RS definitely knows something. I don't think he would be so adamant that it's not Arie if he wasn't sure because he's been burned in the past.

I agree. RS is sounding like he did during Ben's season when he was so cocky and adamant that Courtney was FI.

And Metronomy, I had the same thought as you between the People poll only including Sean and Ryan L. and RS' huge amount of confidence. I kept thinking how can Arie be TB? But someone up thread mentioned he was equally cocky when he said it was Chantal, and when he said Ali picked no one and when he said Roberto was 1000% TB. So who knows what to think anymore? I wish they would just announce...

My guess is that they were told to keep the whole thing quiet by the producers. And she had to quick delete what she tweeted. This makes me all but certain this had to do with the Bachelor and not just racing. There would be no reason to delete anything about a racing meeting/lunch. The think is, what were they taping? Just an update? Or part of the introduction for the new bachelor? I don't know. No one spotted him out and about today, filming, even though he was off twitter for most of the day.

I agree that RS knows something that he feels secure in posting. But the question to me is has he been fed false information again? I think MF is, and has been, feeding him bad spoilers for some time now.

Perhaps a decision has been made but I don't think there would be a lot of upside to announcing right now..politics, hurricane, holiday weekend..are occupying the media. It's a crowded news space going into a lull..dead space for 3 days with the holiday.

I totally agree. They have made their decision. They arent going to decide next Tuesday and then make sure the guy signs the contract without changing it so they can announce it on Wednesday.

In addition to lav's great sleuthing, we also have some clear clues from the man himself. Three recent ones stand out. Arie in LA on Aug. 10, tweeted:

Having a really positive day in L.A... Some great news on the horizon personally and professionally!

What could the personal good news be , other than getting the gig ?

After that, he changed his twitter profile - when he added "join me?" Does anyone remember the approximate date of that?

Now we have the new tweet about Ben being so crazy about Courtney that it "makes me think about the possibilities." If Arie werent going to be the bachelor, he'd probably have said that it was great to hear how crazy Ben is about Courtney. He's happy for them. His word choice is pretty unusual and telling.

I remember him [RS] being so confident about Ali being single and Brad/Chantal.

Ha Ha. RS is on his knees praying daily that it's not Arie.

As far as who will be the next Bachelor....I am still in "the crash position" awaiting the official announcement.

As far as this Board is concerned...it has gone from such a fun place to a graveyard, and that is really depressing. I fear that it won't even be here by the time the next season rolls around. What a loss!

I honestly do not understand what occured to get us to this point of lockdown. I realize that the Mods work hard to maintain this site and they were deluged with PMs/complaints. I am not questioning the Mods' judgement. I am questioning the judgement and behaviors of my fellow ADULT board members. Is it really that difficult to tolerate differences of opinions and styles of personal expression? This isn't any ONE person's or ONE faction's personal oasis. This is a public forum for a general population of people to gather. As such, we are a diverse group. Is diversity THAT threatening to some?

Hopefully, this "time out" will only be temporary and the Mods will be able to reopen the threads. If, however, they feel it is not worth their time and aggrevation (and who can blame them for feeling that way?), I would like to thank them and everyone else here for allowing me to express myself and have a great deal of fun throughout this past season. It has been my pleasure to have shared so much with so many of you. Unfortunately, I am feeling very disheartened about the future of this board and any future partication I may have in it. If this board or myself are not here by next season, and if Arie is the Bachelor, just know that I will be cheering him on with full gusto. I wish him the brightest and happiest future possible.

RS is always this way when he thinks he's right. Doesn't mean he is though. He tends to try to rewrite history when someone mentions his mistake. If Arie is announced as TB, I'm pretty sure RS will say he was the last choice or something equally insulting and pretty much ignore how certain he was that it wouldn't be him. :Nod:
