yeah, she probably will not be a contestant for long. If she in fact ever was.

I was just reading the latest from RS, too. Apparently filming begins Sep. 20th.

RS said that, and said he doesn't care, if she is dumb enough to put it on her FB.......

So let me get this straight. They are casting someone who openly has stated on her FB page on and Twitter that she thinks the show is stupid? In January she thinks the show is a joke, calling it “the stupidest show God created,” no one ever stays together and she hates it. Times four. #hate hate hate hate. Yet now, she’s so excited and can’t wait to be on it and is counting down the days? Uh huh. Oh yeah, she’s definitely going on this show for the right reasons. Go look at her Facebook Page. “K-Twice,” as she calls herself, is a sales rep for nutritional products, which according to Wikipedia, is basically a “pyramid scheme.” Here’s how Wikipedia describes her company, ViSalus:

“Visalus sells its product by multi-level marketing through a network of independent distributors who pay a start-up package fee to join the company’s sales force.

She's not the smartest woman - is she? If they cant be discreet before they leave for filming, they wont be discreet afterwards. I guess the show has to decide if they are willing to put up with that.

From the archives:

RS announced on Twitter on 9/20 that it looked like Brad was going to be the Bachelor and then confirmed it 2 days later on his site and claimed no one was talking about Brad being the Bachelor before he announced it. Whether that's true or not, I can't remember. I believe it was confirmed officially a week later.

ETA: Wes said on his Twitter on 9/19 that Brad was running around Austin saying it was him, so there probably was rumblings before RS even announced it.

Lochte's manager is Erika Wright of Wright Entertainment & Sports (no website).

He subsequently signed with Wright, an attorney and former Miss America runner-up who works with her husband’s music management company, which has worked with ’N Sync, the Backstreet Boys, Justin Timberlake, Ciara and others.

The presumption must have been that obnoxious jerks would flock to Lochte because he's the obnoxious jerk, which, insofar as it turned out to be true, is sad, and insofar as it turned out to be false, reveals just how misaligned a value system you need to have to frame your Olympian client as King Tool and think, "This'll move the merch!"

Her husband in Johnny Wright and he's been all over TV with his music interests. And this is why Lochte's PR is such a mess. You don't handle an Olympic athlete the way you handle someone in the music business. There is a certain sanctity that belongs to Olympic athletes, they exist on a different level because they represent their country and hold higher ideals than the professional athlete. Though they do make money in this day and age, we still see them as sacrificing themselves for patriotic ideals. And when you pimp an Olympic athlete out the way he's being pimped out, it diminishes that image we have of them as being something more than just a typical athlete. This woman is making all kinds of mistakes with his career. And there's no going back, unfortunately. The more exposed he is, the more negative things people see of him.

Here lies the risk for Fleiss and the franchise. Lochte might be at the height of his popularity right now with everyone talking about him. But, The Bachelor starts airing in January. If Lochte continues on as he has, the public might be completely over him by that time. He'll have made many more mistakes in the press, looked even more like a tool, and trashed his own reputation. I'm already over him and it hasn't even been a month.

If RS is right about the filming date then it appears Sean isn't the Bachelor because of the event on the 23rd he committed to.

Yeah, it's not like he signed a contract to attend that event, where there might be legal ramifications if he backed out.

I really wonder whether the decision's been reached and they're just stalling on announcing it, whether they're still negotiating with the chosen one, or whether MF just hasn't made his mind up yet who his best option would be. He seems to be suffering from an "embarrassment of riches" this time, so maybe is getting cocky about it. I'd almost say that it would serve him right if all the guys turned him down in the end, but then we the viewers will end up paying the price by getting stuck with another Jake/Ben type season.

That is true, however I remember last year with Ben someone, I believe it was Graham asked him to committ to an event and he stated on twitter that he could not because he would be busy. It seems to me Sean would do the same thing.

It was me in Arie's thread... I'm sure there would be plenty that would be disappointed that they didn't get to meet Sean, but there will be plenty of other bach/ette alum that will be at the lemonade stand.

While it would would serve MF right if they all backed out, but I hope we don't end up with another dud of a season. That might bring the end of me watching the show...I'd managed to break away and not watch the last few, but Emily being 'ette brought me back for this season.
