Word. There's almost no other reason for a lot of people to watch a season of the Bachelor without those drama queens.

Except for the drama at the end, Jason had a pretty good group of women and the last few weren't drama queens at all. Don't remember if there were some there or not and they were just cut early.

I think the fact that so many of Ben's girls ended up on BP3 really tells the tale. I don't know if it's the lighting on that show or the make-up or the ridiculously long hair extensions, but those girls look really worn out.

Totally Agree!! I forgot about the long extensions! they all looked so fake to me!! My fingers are crossed for a nice group of girls this time around! I hope they don't cast them with BP4 in mind!!

You have to wonder what that feels like when a guy (like Arie) who loves to run the fingers through the hair comes up with hardware. I don't know anything about extensions, but can't you tell that they're extenstions if you've got fingers in the hair? Cool it with the spray tans and the extensions, esp. if Arie is the bachelor. He has a farmer tan. I wonder if they'll get him a fake tan, too.

Yep!! you can totally feel the extensions when you run your fingers through the hair, I have no real problem with those, but when they look extra long and extra shiney and extra fake.. No, just no..

I agree. I think there are stereotypical "characters" that Fleiss likes to cast for the drama quotient. And it makes me prefer to watch the 'ette over TB because I feel like tptb rake women over the coals with their awful stereotypes. All the cat fights just make me cringe. I know it makes for "good" TV, but would it kill them to have a season full of Ashley H's and Emily O's?

There's always the trouble makers in every season like Natalie in Jason's season, Viena in Jake's, Michelle in Brad's, If I remember correctly... But they had more nice girls, that's what I'm saying..

Ben's season was the opposite for me, a lot of trouble makers and fake girls and just some really nice girls. But that's just how I felt, it may not be the same for others.

I'm just saying, I know they have to cast some drama queens for good tv, but I hope they keep the proportions like the seasons before Ben's.

I am probably in the minority, but the so-called drama girls from Ben's season are some of my favorites to watch and still are post show. They made the show worth watching. The others were boring and uninteresting to me.

Jason did know about Melissa pre-season, thus her quick rise from applying to actually being on the show, but he did not know her. A pal sent him her Myspace page and he was interested.

I would echo Chacharo and ask that we keep this thread about its intended topic. The mods were pretty clear in shutting down all topics relating to 'ette 8 until they can find a solution to all the animosity. I would like to honor their wishes and stay on track so as not to lead to any more kerfuffles or threads being closed.

I think there is a JEM site? Maybe you could share the info there for now?

Loveski is not trying to discuss the article, merely to make it available to any who are interested, WITHOUT hijacking the thread. It seems to me she is acting totally in the spirit of the mods' request, esp. given that the lockdown only came this morning and a number of posters are feeling adrift. Short of pm'ing every single member on the offchance she might miss a few Jem fans who are merely lurking, I think this was the best option.

Thanks, Lori! I never saw any active campaigning from Sean or his sister. It appears to me that Sean is doing exactly what he said - using his 15 minutes of fame to help him bring attention to charities. I feel bad that the Sean thread got locked. That thread was relatively drama free, but got caught up in the rest of the bachette 8 forums getting locked. I enjoyed seeing all the things he is doing since the show.

Emily O did get a little too wrapped up in the drama during Ben's season, but I probably would have done the same. Remember that these people have producers prodding them the whole time. I swear they could turn the sweetest, most intelligent girl into a nutcase in a few days.

Well, discussing Arie's tendency to run his fingers through hair isn't exactly Bachelor 17 speculation/spoiler info, if we wanna get specific. Nor is talking about Ben and his group of girls. Let's not get too nit picky.

Can I ask what Ben and his girls have to do with the Bach 17 Spoilers and Speculation? Is there something I have missed?
