If this board or myself are not here by next season, and if Arie is the Bachelor, just know that I will be cheering him on with full gusto. I wish him the brightest and happiest future possible.

Miahawk has probably got me in her foe list but I will respond..I think in real life some of us wouldn't dream of responding to posts the way they have on this board. I know I have hit the send button when I shouldn't have and if I offended anyone I am sorry. I get we all have opinions and are entitled to give them but some opinions are cruel for lack of a better word. In real life there will always be followers and leaders and those who can be easily manipulated as well as the know it all. I think this board has hit a wall! I appreciate and have enjoyed my friendship with Love_me and San. They have busy lives so miss alot of the nonsense. Anyway to all who can see my post :Racecar: :Drinkwater:

I do not have a foe list. I have never foed a single person. I fundamentally disagree with the idea of foeing anyone. Speaking only for myself, I feel that if I cannot tolerate reading posts from all people, including those of differing opinions, styles, standards, then I feel that I have personally allowed myself to go too far in my own reactions to posts. I am not saying that to use the foe button is not the right choice for somebody else, but as for myself I do not use it. I sadly feel the need to defend myself here, because, for me personally, the suggestion that I have foed anyone is 100% false and goes against what I believe in.

I have more of an observation than a question. While this is a good discussion and probably much-needed, we dont have a thread to discuss it in. This thread is a different topic.

So i do suppose my question is this: Is there a thread where this can be discussed?

My original post really was just my way of thanking the moderators for all of their good intentions and hard work to provide this site for us. My question was rhetorical. No need to discuss anything. This is basically the one thread remaining open for me to say my goodbyes in. Carry on.

I agree, mnm-- no one has to go anywhere! The new season will be here soon enough. You'll be surprised that some that were at each other's throats this season will be best buds for next season. Early on this season, I found it easier to just sit back and lurk. While I missed posting, I just didn't want to get mixed up in anything. Hopefully, everyone will get excited about things once the season gets going! High clap

I feel aggrevated by the current environment of this board. I do not like when people call me out by name and then state assumptions about me, like that I have a foe list that they are probably on. I felt insulted and that I was targeted simply because I am an avid Arie supporter. I may have been snarky or sarcastic in terms of Emily, Jeff, or this show in general on occasion, but I have never directly posted assumptions or comments specifically about fellow members, regardless of our differing opinions. In fact, one of my good friends is a staunch JEM fan on this board. We simply agree to disagree on this one.

Because we have only 2 open threads here at the present time, we are all lumped together. So, I made an attempt to post, only to be drawn into some annoying tit for tat. It is not my thing. I do not want to say anything out of frustration, so I am taking a break from posting on this board. Maybe if it returns to its former state I will return to posting. That is the reason for my "goodbyes".

This is the problem everyone- not just referring to the poster above - is taking everything as an insult because they support Jef or Arie.

The reality is it is about communication styles.

I can understand why you might feel it is an unfair assumption that someone suggested they were on your foe list. But you could also take it the other way, that the poster is saying she has made contentious posts and so is foed.

Anyway, I don't have anyone on a foe list either. But why not just say- no worries I don't foe.

It has gotten so bad here that the little comments are now raising the hair on posters backs. Again- Mia this is not directed at you, this string is just one of many, many, many.

The problem is each "faction" thinks the other is the only one that causes problems. It is silly, most of the "problems" are caused by a handful of posters and then some of the rest of us make the mistake of responding (I can say I am guilty).

I've never cared that much or had a favorite up for the lead so this suspense is annoying. I mean, I need to resume regularly scheduled programming already. giggling

I feel like a contestant on one of these shows with the leading on.

If they have selected somoene (and I assume they have), do you think that person knows?

I will pop in until BG confirms. But I think I remember her 2 of 3 sources back tracked a bit so that is why she is hesitant re 100%. And the 3rd didn't give info
Someone asked her what she thought the odds were based on what she knew and i think she said sitting around 80% she didn't want to say over 90% in case she jinxed it.
