The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

My friend, Dain Blanton, was in the final 3 choices one year. Remember when they showed the finalists? It was in Andrew Firestone's season. I was watching and was like "Hey, I know him!" He would have been fantastic.

2) He's HOT - is signed with Ford models
3) He's a minority, which they sorely want/need
4) He's the nicest guy in the world!

But alas, they chose Andrew.

I think Brad was after both of those.

ETA.....I stand corrected....Matt Grant was after Brad #1!

I wa slooking at wikipedia....I didn't realize there was a 3 1/2 year span between both of Brad's shows.
Remember when The Bachelor was on in the Fall and the Winter?

I don't think I'll be able to contain myself if Lochte is the Bachelor. I'd probably get banned from this Board. I mean...never mind, deleted the rest of that thought. Don't want to get foe'd before the fun even begins.

TPTB sux. Little Andu sucked too. Dain would have been awesome.

I liked him, wandb. I did like Andrew but wish they had picked Dain later instead of some of the duds.

He's a hunk. I'd watch a season with him. He's 41 now, but it would be kind of cool if they did a show with a little bit older cast. Women in their mid-thirties might be interesting. Lots of good careers.

Good careers = dignity, self-respect, etc. = No drama/boring season, unfortunately. I feel like that's what the show "3" tried to do (I didn't watch, but I heard it was about 3 professional women?), and it didn't work at all.

RE: Dain. I liked Andrew, and think they might the right choice, but I'm SHOCKED that a minority made it to the top 3 back then (when there was no looming lawsuit).

He was pictured partying with an array of bikini-clad women at the weekend, so The Bachelor is a role that would suit Ryan Lochte rather well.

The 28-year-old swimmer is said to be interested in appearing on the show, but only for a certain amount of money.

According to RadarOnline, Lochte 'wants at least $750,000' to appear on the popular reality TV programme.

'Ryan's agents are getting besieged with offers and deals, everything from The Bachelor, his own reality show, and some overseas movies,' a source told the website.

Lochte has apparently been very open about wanting to be the next star of The Bachelor.

It has been reported that Lochte's team are negotiating the large fee simply to just organise talks with the gold medalist and ABC, and the payment could easily rise to $1million if the network are interested in him.

'Ryan is acutely aware that he has to attach himself to the right projects and endorsements that won't do damage to his all American image,' the source added.

'As much as he'd like to do it, Ryan does have some reservations about The Bachelor because he wouldn't have any control on how he is portrayed on the show.'

The U.S. star, who won five medals in the 2012 Olympics, didn't care how he looked when he partied with various women in Las Vegas at the weekend.

Lochte was equally keen to show off his toned body, in a tiny pair of pink Speedos. They proved a hit with the female guests, who queued up to be photographed with him at the Azure at The Palazzo.

The hotel was hosting a belated birthday bash on Saturday night for Ryan, who turned 28 on August 3.

His actual birthday was during the Olympics, and he started his celebration in the nightclubs of London.

Before stripping down to his form-fitting swimsuit, Ryan arrived in a pair of more modest patriotic trunks, with one of his gold medals around his neck.

While hanging out at the pool, he told People.com: 'I'm always looking for the perfect girl.

'Now that I'm older, I'm looking to settle down a bit.'

Lochte has certainly embraced his celebrity status since returning to the U.S.

He attended the premiere of The Expendables 2 in Los Angeles last week and appeared on Jay Leno's chat show last night.

He also recently shot filming a cameo on the hit CW series 90210 which will air in the U.S. at 9 pm EDT on Monday, October 29.

He's a winner! The swimmer is said to be being very careful about which projects and endorsements he chooses
