It doesn't really matter because it's not in our hands. I'm still leaning towards it being Arie but will survive if it isn't as long as pics of him continue to be tweeted. beatingheart

Arie's dad mentioned, in a radio interview today, a commitment that Arie Jr. had that might eliminate him as The Bachelor. Arie Jr. will be driving in the Petit LeMans in Atlanta, running from October 17th through the 20th. The race itself is on the 20th and it's 1000 miles or 10 hours. He'll be driving with Townsend Bell. There is a possibility that he would cancel if he gets the job, but as of today, he has every intention of driving the race.

There's also video of him visiting Twitter headquarters today in San Francisco where he is introduced as "The Bachelor" and he doesn't bother to correct them. So there's the other side. And he spent yesterday with Ben F and will be spending tomorrow with him as well when he gives him a 2-seater ride.

I saw that Arie and Ben had dinner last night and were telling war stories about "women and deceit" Oh my, to be a fly on the wall. Hope we gets some pix tomorrow.

I posted this in the Arie thread but after hearing that he's going to be in a race during filming (so excited for him), the People article only mentioning the swimmer and Sean as possible bachelors (isn't that the magazine the show uses for show exclusives, etc.), I have a gut feeling it's not Arie, but most likely Sean.
To add to that, when I saw Arie's tweet regarding meeting with Ben and the "deceit" reference (which is totally true) I think he was probably talking about the show in general and not just Emily (Cassie-gate; what TPTB tell you, etc.). I don't think he would make a reference to the show being deceitful, even though we all know it is, if he was their next lead.

Now, with that said, I'm disappointed that they would pick a F3 over the heartbroken F2 if said heartbroken F2 really wanted it. Have they have done that before? I know other than Ben it's been a while since a F2 was lead, but that's because they turned it down. So, do we think Arie eventually turned it down or would they really go with F3 over Arie?

I dont think they care much about placement - F2, F3 etc. They go with the one they think will give them the most successful season based on whatever the ABC psychics tell them the crystal ball says to do. Jake wasnt F2 or F3, but became the Bachelor.

I don't find the People article all that compelling. I don't believe they're the go to mag for the show. Someone was just saying it's Life & Style (I think) these days. I believe they're being lazy and just wanted to mention Ryan for the hype and needed someone else for the poll. It may even be Ryan's agent who got it in there.

I actually think Arie meeting with Ben is more of a clue for rather than against him being TB. The timing is perfect because it's right around the time they're getting ready to film so he could be getting advice from Ben. I believe the deceit reference was directed at Emily.

The radio stations in Dallas talking about Sean being TB was probably started by Tony Zaza who someone said is a sponsor of RS.

The race does give me pause but suppose that could be cancelled. If they were just talking to ABC today perhaps no papers have been signed yet. Honestly I can deal if it's not Arie but I won't believe it's Sean until I see it in writing. :Nod:

Yes, 2 F3 come to mind: Jillian and Ashley H. Can't remember, but think not when it came to the men(TB)

Right but I thought that was because the favorities (Reid, Kypton) weren't interested. Anyway, since we're never going to know what goes on in their craycray way of thinking what makes good tv (um, not Jake), I should give up trying to figure it out. Arie was the heartbroken guy who even Emily said she fell for and then dumped in a botanical garden. The majority of the ATFR focused on him. I'm just not seeing the reason in thinking Sean would give them a more successful season. Clearly they thought Arie was better on camara considering he carried most of the show (and I have to thank the show for that or I would have lost interest early on!!).

You're right but in those cases the F2 didn't want it (well, Molly wasn't an option and Chantal was already seeing someone else). I guess Ali was F4 and Tenley would have been an option.
Either way, I believe too that they already know who it is and are just hashing out contract details, etc. I can see Sean pulling out of the lemonade stand if he got it but I would be surprised if Arie gave up a ride w/ sponsers if he already committed to it.
