Of course she does, but that hasn't stopped their other "ringers." hmmm

Tell you something else - the folks on the message board don't like the Bachelor/bachelorette contestants anyway, so she will start off with that mark against her.

BTW, all beginning contestants start out with $125,000. That has been reported at least twice. It goes up the longer the contestant is able to stay on the show.

She'd definitely be considered a ringer. But I don't think that would stop them from casting her, if they wanted to. They've had bigger ringers than Ashley before.

Most dentists and other docs' offices are now owned by huge management companies or the docs become salaried hospitalists. There's too much of a risk involved, especially with reform looming to own their own business like Doogie Howser. Chances are Ashley will never own her own practice, regardless of anything going on with DWTS, a fiance in NY, Cali, the moon, big city, bright lights or any of the aforementioned. What will happen is she'll join an existing practice that is either long standing or already owned and work there, or she'll go into residency but not sure how dentistry residencies or fellowships operate. I also don't understand all the long distance comments because according to her she only has a few months to go, including this summer.

I read RS' blog and the irreverant part of me is laughing hysterically. His discription of Ben's date was a hoot. I wonder if Ames and Jackie visited Ben while on their Napa jaunt last weekend.

Ali reportedly got $300,000 – not sure what that is after taxes – I would assume Ash got approx the same.

DWTS would prolly net her about the same, slightly less maybe.

You and I are twinsies today, girl! I see nothing uncomfortable, weird, wrong, or awkward going on with Cupcake whatsoever. If there's something weird about their relationship, I sure as heck am not seeing it on my screen.

What happens to finishing her schooling - and consequently her dental career - which has to happen in Phiadelphia?

From what I understand Ashley has been seen out and about in Philadelphia since the end of the show, I'm sure she's doing some of her outstanding stuff. Last year I had occasion to go to the school of dentistry at U-Penn and saw one of the dental surgeons there, he had a bunch of dental students with him who were finishing up their schooling.

I have been seriously trying to find out what is actually required of Ashley to complete her training to the point where she can set up a practice, and more to the point, how much of that has to be done (is required) in the state, educational institution, etc., in (at) which she currently located (Pennsyvania)?

I suspect that Jelle is correct, and at best this relationship will be a commuter relationship (even if it is with Ben) because neither guy can just up and transfer to Philadelphia. Ben's vineyard is going nowhere, and construction manager jobs are harder to find than simple construction jobs ( and they may be difficult in this economy :greenman: ).

Ashley will stay at UPenn until she finishes whatever she needs to get her DMD. After that she can go anywhere. That is what Travis did after he finished TB, only he was single. A couple hour commute to NYC, if that is how it turns out, is not a big deal.
