When he took all those personality and psychological tests that had something like 800 questions and lasted hours - which we have heard about from past reliable contestants - he gave them a tremendous insight into the way that he thinks.
He thinks he played them, but they played him as well. Bentley hung himself with that character assassination. People who know him will try to deny he said all those things, and they will try to find ways around it, but they will always question what they know they saw with their own eyes.

The lesson in this is don't try to outfleiss Fleiss, because it ticks him off, and since ultimately Fleiss holds all the cards, he always gets the last laugh. If Bentley thought that he was going to come off as some cool player dude to his friends at home by messing with the show concept, he is now probably shocked and "swimming in [his own] pee watching how badly said show is making him appear using their editing tricks, and how relentlessly the media is roasting him as a result. And the worst may be yet to come, if when he returns in a few episodes, things are presented as if Ashley busts him and kicks him to the curb, effectively branding a metaphorical "L" on his three-head. I'm glad his daughter is probably too young to understand what is happening.

And look at Jeff. What a glowing portrayal he got! Either it was face time with the mask, or ass time on the crapper. I bet this did wonders for his Entrepreneurial pursuits--unless he is working on the next great absorbent quicker picker upper.

But Kasha, Jeff came away with a title forever "The Throne Ranger", or "Zero" ~ Zorro's ugly brother.

First of all, I could give a rat's behind about Bentley or any of the other guys. Secondly I watch the show, not just see. I know Bentley talk was different from his action with Ashley. I saw him caressing her face, a concern look when she was crying, a different person from the one that was doing all the talk or the producers villian. Maybe you should get to know some of those kind of guys that talk a lot of trash about a girl, but know within themselves that they really like the girl...or those that take a dare and actually fall for the girl. I met some of those in my life, actually had a cousin like that. The JP's are the one's you better watch out for, could be a wolf in sheep clothing.

I had a strange moment the other day while stopped at an intersection. The first person across is a guy in full Zorro cape..right on his heels were two Mormon missionaries on their bikes. Shades of Jeff and Bentley.

It's kind of a curious thing, here. In one sense, JP looks like the best thing since sliced toast. However, we look at his bio, and we see that they list 3 rather negative traits that they would like for us to know about JP. Not positive things like other guys, mind you...

To add to that there is an interesting little exchange of which I have heard no comment. Ashley asks JP about the duration of his relationships. He tells her that one lasted 2 and 1/2 years. When she asked who ended it, JP freely answers that he did, and essentially says that it was because he just wasn't feeling it.
When Ashley questions him as to what if he hurts her, he just casually throws back that you have to take risks.

This guy just told her he broke up a 2 and 1/2 year relationship because he didn't care, and he is saying that to someone who the edit has shown us has a broken heart, and he wants her to take that risk with him? Does this little piece in the edit not look a little strange to anyone else?

Ashley didn't react negatively so I didn't pick up on it but now that you mention it, I guess you're right, it IS weird- both in terms of edit and real life. Both edited Ashley and the flesh and blood one need a man who is very reassuring and all in with her and only her because she's so sensitive, and in the context of the show, shattered by Bentley. She has to know he's always feeling 'IT' and won't leave her, that option shouldn't even be on the table.

I guess it's their obstacle maybe? Proving that it's for keeps and he won't just fall out of love randomly?

Ashley didn't react negatively so I didn't pick up on it but now that you mention it, I guess you're right, it IS weird- both in terms of edit and real life. I noticed that too. However, JP's exes who have come out of the woodwork all seem to really like him and wish they had held onto him, so that's encouraging at least.

We don't know anything about Ben's dating history, so nothing to compare to.

I didn't take it that way. He's dated off and on from the age of 22-30 and was in a 2 1/2 yr relationship. When asked who broke it off, he said mostly him, because it just wasn't there, not that he didn't care. JP didn't elaborate on the why, but given some of his VO's in the previews, makes it sound like he's been hurt in the past too. Whether JP is F1 or not, I think that conversation was important to the story. You take risks, fall in love, get hurt sometimes, but move on and finally meet someone great.
