IMO the good guys are the ones who go into the experience open and honest and don't play any games.

Who is that? They all had a game plan IMHO. Sean and Arie included.

Having a strategy to me is A Lot smaller of a deal to me than hiding part of my past like Arie did, and I don't think that was a big deal either.

Emily said herself that she liked that he kept her guessing. So clearly she has no problem with it, and that's what matters. yes

Jesse C would be what I would compare this to also. He too played a game, he positioned himself strategically always near the girl, with a late kissing to keep her curious. Very similar to Jef in terms of their game plan. Both got the girl in the end.

We have no idea from watching the show who's being open and honest and not playing games. We can only say that we "think" so-and-so is open etc. but we don't know it's our perception based on who we happen to like/dislike and that's usually based on our past experiences with people who remind us of someone (good or bad). The person next to you may have a completely different perspective.

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

I think it is totally unfair to say that Jef was being dishonest. We weren't there to witness any of the conversations or interactions. Taking just part of his statement and adding words to make him look bad is totally wrong. I believe in Jef and what ever he did or didn't do in the beginning is his and Em's business.

Sounds about right as per what the edit is showing us this season...

Well, I met him, and I can totally see how he does (have the girl). Nothing phased him while we watched the show Monday with him. He joked about Sean kissing her, pretending he was mad. Everyone was teasing him about it, too. He just watched it not like he was trying to figure things out but just like he wanted to see the show, what they showed. He seemed totally cool about it all, and very happy.

There were a lot of cute girls at the party and you could tell he was there just to tell people about his experience and hang out. But he didn't seem to have any interest other than to just be friendly, with anyone.

Me and Joni's story has always been, he just seemed happy, fine.
It's interesting you left out what he did when Arie was kissing Emily. This is what Jonifry55 said --
jonify55 wrote:Several of you asked how he responded to Arie's kissing? He was talking to a girl next to him...but then he left the room during the part when Em and Arie were on the bed and I was glad.

To be fair, I'm pretty sure that Joni said he left the room to take a call. Small detail, but adds a little context that it wasn't because he was upset by what he was seeing - his phone rang and he stepped out to take the call. Someone can correct me if I'm wrong on that.

If you want to compare Jef to Jesse then you'll have to compare Arie to Ed and I don't think you want to go there.

BTW: I think Jef and Arie are two of the best ever on this show.

I'm not trying to be fiesty just legit don't see how him saying he had a strategy is not trustworthy?

Some people thought that in last week's episode, Jef told Emily that it WASN'T a strategy...therefore he lied and is not trustworthy. But if you listen to their conversation, he never says that.

Actually, the conversation with Emily was pretty cagey and open to interpretation. AND the specific question was different: Emily asked very specifically why it took so long for him to kiss her. We don't know the EXACT question asked in the media interview yet, but the answer sounds like it was slightly different.

You do have to be careful with a smart guy - they can play on words. I remember dating guys who used to do that to test how connected we were, ie I did I get their meaning, or did it whoossshhh over my head (the later not being a good thing).

Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?

That is what I read as well. It also sounded like he did that a couple of times.
