He played hard to get. It's not exactly exemplary. It isnt evil, but I wouldn't like it if someone did that to my sister. It's like he read The Rules - and it worked!
Funny enough, Emily sure seemed like a "Rules" girl during Brad's season. Amazing how things come full circle sometimes.

We may be seeing a lot more of that in the next Bachelorette series. LOL. Maybe some of the women could take note on The Bachelor instead of throwing themselves at the lead, too. :Smiley:Pattycake92 wrote:Obviously the strategy and those looks he gave her worked. Can't wait for Monday Night!

It's interesting you left out what he did when Arie was kissing Emily. This is what Jonifry55 said --canyonvue wrote:sushifan wrote:jlccaz wrote:Reading this? Love_Me nailed it with her spoiler. He's got the girl, and is with the girl. Just my intuition.
The "done with dating on reality TV" and "wouldn't accept the Bachelor if it were offered" strikes me that way, too.
Well, I met him, and I can totally see how he does (have the girl). Nothing phased him while we watched the show Monday with him. He joked about Sean kissing her, pretending he was mad. Everyone was teasing him about it, too. He just watched it not like he was trying to figure things out but just like he wanted to see the show, what they showed. He seemed totally cool about it all, and very happy.
There were a lot of cute girls at the party and you could tell he was there just to tell people about his experience and hang out. But he didn't seem to have any interest other than to just be friendly, with anyone.
Me and Joni's story has always been, he just seemed happy, fine.
jonify55 wrote:Several of you asked how he responded to Arie's kissing? He was talking to a girl next to him...but then he left the room during the part when Em and Arie were on the bed and I was glad.

For me i was just trying to tell you much you seem to know him by saying here it was not a strategy from Jef but then in the recap it said it was a strategy
For this i just wanted to say that we should be careful of the perception we have of these contestants because it might not be the case like here

I have to agree. We heard him tell Emily that it WASN'T a strategy. So yeah, he pretty much lied to Emily given what we were shown on the last episode.
Yeah what she said above. :)
This is a televised dating show! She dates more than one person! Give me a break.

And for all we know, that's partly why he threw that out there in the interview. I don't even see it as a lie. Every guy there had some sort of strategy. If he is F1 as is rumoured I am sure they have talked about his approach.

I'm not following what was dishonest? that he had a strategy of playing hard to get? Couldn't it be said Arie had a strategy of laying it on thick?
I'm not trying to be fiesty just legit don't see how him saying he had a strategy is not trustworthy?

Some people thought that in last week's episode, Jef told Emily that it WASN'T a strategy...therefore he lied and is not trustworthy. But if you listen to their conversation, he never says that.

I can't wait either. Based on what he said today we know it is gonna be great.
ETA: And about the other stuff being discussed here, who cares? He got the girl in the end and he has kept the girl in the end, that is all that matters.

I would think most of the guys have some sort of strategy when coming onto the show - even if it's just them thinking ahead of time 'how am I going to get her to notice me?'
Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience. Going to church doesn't make you a Christian any more than standing in your garage makes you a car.

Oh, I think the whole strategy thing from the beginning was dishonest. Very Jesse C of him.
IMO the good guys are the ones who go into the experience open and honest and don't play any games.
