Yep and I love that she could do that without even mentioning his name.

Yep! Last season I ignored what Brad was saying in his blogs and I got burned. I'm not going to make the same mistake this season!

Who knew is right. Trista said Ryan was the same way as JP. We know Ryan bitched all the time about not knowing where he stood compared to Charlie and the others guys and he was so insecure and did his share of pouting too. That's because Ryan and JP fell in love and it's normal reaction, not abnormal reaction.ironcat wrote:The guys are definitely egging JP on because they know how invested he is in Ashley. One could extrapolate from that that they are probably less invested in her themselves, or they wouldn't be finding the whole topic/exercise so amusing. Frankly, I find it ridiculous (although not unexpected, since this exact thing was discussed/predicted here 2 weeks ago) that JP is now being branded as having some sort of "dangerous" personality issues, based on his reaction to a bunch of guys ragging on him.
What makes it further ridiculous is that Trista, of all people, is comparing him over and over again to her sweet Ryan, who she claims acted pretty much the same way. Guess Ryan has dangerous jealousy and anger management issues too. Who knew?

Dino came off completely ridiculous last night. I get that Ben is his friend and all but seriously??!!?! WTF dude.. you are competing for this girl too. This just solidified to me that he is just sticking around to hang out (maybe to hand with Ben longer) and has no real interest in Ash... boo Dino... you lost points with me last night. I am SOOO glad JP was emotionally mature enough to say he didn't want to talk about it. Kudos to JP on that one.
Yeah, it was straight out of American Pie or Animal House. When one of the guys comes home in the morning after being with a girl and his frat bros are all "yeah buddy, you scored, nice work!" and slapping him on the back and fist-pumping. I don't know whether to: or considering they're all supposed to be after the "same piece of fruit."
Big: You know, Manhattan has a lot of beautiful women.
Carrie: What an amazing observation!
Big: But the thing is, after awhile, you just wanna be with the one who makes you laugh.

I thought Ben handled it well. He of course was happy to have been on the date and couldn't resist the "36 hours" statement, but did not get into "frat house" talk about what went on. He's not gonna disrespect Ash in that way.

I agree, I thought Ben was being polite and discreet. Dino was the one that came off as a dope.

So I'm reading the comments under Ash's blog today and it seems the tide has turned. The majority of them are positive and wishing her and F1 well. Good. They deserve it.

This is part of what someone wrote earlier in the comment section LOL
Anyway, I really like Ashley, she's a great girl. If I was her I'd want to sleep with JP and I'd want to end up with Ben. Hopefully she's had a chance to accomplish those two things.

Hilarious! However, I think even laid-back Ben would have a problem with that, and we know JP has a problem with sharing! :awesome:

Taiwan
I knew very little about Taiwan before arriving, but that's what made it such an exciting place to visit. I've tried to learn a little bit of history about each place before we land, but as I started falling more and more for these men, I have to admit, thinking about them took up all my free time. So I left it to chance and decided to just discover Taiwan day by day. The first place I discovered was our home base for the next week, The Regent Taipei. Rumor has it, Beyonce stayed in my same exact room the week before! And it is definitely a room fit for a diva. My living quarters were massive and I had a private garden outside of my living room and bedroom. As soon as I stepped outside, I could feel the energy of the streets and got so excited to start my week of dates. And the very first date definitely didn't disappoint.
There is a popular tradition found in the Asian culture involving sky lanterns, also knows as Kongming Lanterns. Locals write wishes on oiled rice paper, and then set them afloat in the sky in hopes of their wish coming true. Constantine and I boarded an old steam engine train at Badu Station and headed east toward a tiny village called Pingxi. The ride was so beautiful and we passed through pitch-black tunnels that were quite romantic. The railway line runs right through Pingxi, and when we arrived, the locals were incredibly welcoming and very excited to see the old steam engine. A friendly old man showed us how to paint our wishes on a lantern, and Constantine and I did just that. What you don't see is that a stray dog came by and decided to pee on our lantern! We both had a good laugh over that. That night, after a romantic dinner, we launched our lantern (it had dried out by then!) and I finally got that kiss I was looking for from Constantine. What a beautiful night.
My next date was with Ben, in probably one of the most breathtaking locations I've ever been. We arrived in Taroko National Park where we rode scooters through the majestic scenery. The area is famous for its grand canyons and spectacular mountains, and it honestly is like nothing I've ever seen. We stopped at a viewpoint to see the Changchun Temple that sits above a waterfall, commemorating the lives of those who built the road and tunnels through the mountains. Then we had a picnic near a suspension bridge. Seriously, every turn we took revealed a new view that blew my mind. Around dusk we arrived at the beautiful Silks Place Taroko, which overlooks the water and the gorgeous view of the marble that the gorge is made of. Needless to say, our dinner setting was stunning. Yes, we did sleep in separate rooms that night, but I later learned that the sleepover caused quite a stir with the guys back at the suite, especially JP.
I know that posing for wedding photos probably isn't high on the list for most men…but I couldn't resist doing it for our group date this week. Wedding photography is huge in Taiwan, and you see hundreds of studios up and down the streets of Taipei. There is one particular "wedding street", Aiguo East Road, which has a fantastic setup. There are popular locations in Taiwan to get your photos taken, and this studio has captured those similar backdrops in their location. Fortunately the guys were decent sports, but I have to admit I felt a little bad dressing Lucas and Ames up in those costumes while JP got the western suit. Not fair! I had so much fun taking the photos and getting all dressed up in the ornate costumes, and an even better time revealing the pictures at the reception. We held our "wedding reception" at The Regent Taipei and had such a nice time enjoying the local fare.
My last date of the week was with Ryan. I knew Ryan would be interested in the history of Taiwan and seeing some of the sacred places people visit. We started our day at the Chiang Kai Shek Memorial – a beautiful main square with a statue of Chiang Kai Shek at the top of a grand staircase. There is also a national Theater and an Opera House in the square, all surrounded by beautiful, colorful gardens. We witnessed a huge group of locals dressed in traditional white robes practicing Tai Chi. It was so cool to watch. Next we went to Longshan Temple, an ornate temple with gorgeous carvings and gilded dragons. This is a very active place of worship and I can't even begin to describe how sacred it feels when you're on the grounds. Ryan and I joined in by making wishes to the matchmaking god, Yue Xia Lao. Then we walked in silence as we watched hundreds of locals chant, light incense and make offerings. The entire experience helped me see things clearer, and quieted my over-active mind.
While I didn't expect to send Ryan home that day, there was something from all I had experienced in Taiwan that made me be very honest with myself. On paper Ryan really is the perfect guy for me, but I realized on our date that he wasn't "the one," and that heading back to meet his family would just be cruelly post-postponing the inevitable. Letting him go was the right thing to do, but it sure was heart wrenching.
The cocktail party was at the Lin Family Mansion, a beautiful mansion built over one hundred fifty years ago by Taiwan's wealthiest family. It's only been open to the public for the past ten years, and the home and its expansive gardens are definitely worth a visit if you're ever in Taipei. Unfortunately, having to send a great guy home made it hard for me to appreciate what an incredible setting I was in. I need to go back!
