Totally agree. It's how I felt when Ali and Chris L weren't together at the end. He seemed perfect (on paper), gorgeous, nice and loving too and they were too cute together. Even though I grew to love Roberto, Chris Lambton was my first choice for Ali but her heart wanted Roberto. And Chris went on to meet Peyton soon thereafter, I hope the same for Ryan, you can't force love. Ashley told Emily that when she visited and said to follow her heart. So it's not the path to Ryan's heart, he'll do just fine. I respect thim so much, just from researcing him, his video, his beliefs and what he does in his real life. What a catch for some lucky girl one day. And him being a "Georgia Boy" just melts my little ole heart.

with all of you! And Gina, his being a "Georgia boy" melts mine too! I remember a few other guys over the years being from GA, but they didn't make it very far...and were mostly jerks. So the fact he seems like such a great guy and will represent GA/the south so well, makes me smile!

Well, hey, LadyBug, nice to 'meet you'. I've been away for a month, lots of personal stuff and traveling, but I was thrilled it was a Georgia guy and Ryan looked like such a fine representation. I can't wait to see him on the show and if he is all that he seems to be so far, hope so. North GA here.

Yes, I was also hoping that Ryan would be the one that Emily would fall for, because he seems to be a good man who is ready to be a husband and father, successful enough to provide Emily the lifestyle she is accustomed to, shares similar beliefs with her, and is geographically desirable. I always like to root for a couple that at least gives the appearance of being able to beat this franchise's miserable odds, and Ryan seemed to have the best odds on paper. Well, her heart apparently is leading her to a different guy, but I'm skeptical that a long term relationship leading to marriage would actually work out with any of the presumed F4, even Arie. Sometimes love, particularly of the Bachelor variety, isn't enough, when there are too many other obstacles. Ryan seemed to have the fewest obstacles. Oh well.

I am a middle GA girl (transplanted to CLT for love) and besides his good looks & even better personality being a GA boy sealed the deal for me. GA has some drop dead gorgeous girls I think he won't be lonely long after the show airs & his departure is aired. :) I love Ryan!!

I'm reminded of Trista's speech to Charlie at the FRC. She said that she goosebumps and butterflies etc when they met and thought he was fabulous but "her heart led her in a different direction". She picked Ryan and they seem happily married with kids.

It really is as simple as that most of the time.

It really is ok by me that Em let go of Ryan. Look at all the opportunities: Bachelor Pad! Bachelor! Real-life love!

I can't wait for the season so that we can get some answers!

Sounds, crazy but I'll say it again. I'm not sure that it wasn't Ryan's decision. When MF said sometimes a rose is not always a rose, could Ryan be one that said no during the RC in other words decided this process wasn't for him? TPTB had to have been disappointed he left so early cause he's eye candy if nothing else.

If he accepted one and then decided it's not for him, and that's 5th or 6th episode when MF tweeted that I believe, then I think he shouldn't have accepted the rose in the first place. He should have known the process already by that time, it's rather ungentlemen for him to do that IMO. BUT, i really don't know if that's what happened, just commenting on the situation you brought up.

Also, i know he's eye candy for a lot of people, definitely not me. I think he's probably a good person based on the info we have of him so far (a lot of them are from his best friends actually) and that's why I like him , but nothing attractive physically about him to me.

Actually, if a person can be on that show, i'm sure that person must be eye candy for some people, and everyone that's left is as cute, if not cuter, so i definitely don't think TB will be disappointed cause he's eye candy for some...

Oh, I think he's going to be eye candy for alot of people!! I can't wait to see what happened and how the viewers respond. Actually in real life, Arie is more what I lean towards but I just don't think long term, he and Emily are a good fit and I so wanted it to be a success! I do think the camera loves Ryan. I can't wait until pre HTDs while season is airing. I will not pick who I think her F1 is until then.
