I could be wrong but I think the edit was just because Paige fell hard very early for him. They had to do some hard core editing to hide it. I'm sure there were a lot of "bachelor" type questioning during Paiges 1 on 1 interviews leading her so they could edit in the doubt. I paid alot of attention to the tweets from the final 4 while the season was airing. I noticed that they would hint that what we were seeing isn't what was actually going on. At least the tweets from Jeremiah and the Shawns. There were many tweets between those three. Bubba was pretty quiet on twitter about the editing . the fantastic edit of Bubba was real over the top. The family thing was annoying. Bubba's being so accepting and Jeremiah's being as cautious as him..
I dont think I will watch next season.
I have to wonder if I will watch next season.. They will have to pull somebody pretty special on there and if it's Bubba, then I can say for 100% that I won't be watching.. He may be a great guy, but I think the producers foundered me on him this season....
Here are some things that I noticed this season. Paige is what, around 25? Jeremiah 29 and Bubba 30? To me, Bubba came off acting a lot older than he really is and did we ever see a picture of him without his hat on? He could be bald under that hat, for all I know. While Bubba had no problems reading, I mean expressing his words of undying love to Paige, never once did I hear Paige say that she could look inside his soul like she could Jeremiah's and know what he was feeling.. Sometimes when you let your heart look instead of listening for words, that's when you will know more, than when the words are being said. If that makes any sense. Jeremiah wanted the first time he told her he loved her to be just between them and off camera. I don't blame him one bit for that. Although he did say it. ; ) .
Had Jeremiah not been on the show, I think Paige could have been fairly happy with Bubba. Fulfilled? No, but to an extent, happy at least for a little while, then I think Bubba would have bored Paige to tears. I don't see Bubba as the happy go lucky, want to have fun, kind of man that Paige was looking for (Jeremiah) Sure, both of these guys works very hard, but Jeremiah knows it's important to leave time for a little fun and at their age that's important... Paige is way too young to be sat down in a rocking chair, on a front porch watching the babies play at her feet. Now there's not one thing wrong with living that kind of life if it's really what you're looking for and what will fulfill you for the time being and also for the rest of your life... I just didn't see that as the life Paige wanted right now from watching her the last two seasons on this show. I do think Paige found exactly what she was looking for and I do see a bright future between her and Jeremiah. I think they both found their soul mates and I pray that God will teach them how to keep this love going all the rest of their days..
Last, but not least Bubba isn't perfect and while there isn't anything wrong with a real cowboy to me, I just wasn't buying into the Bubba koolaide CMT was passing out/ forcing on me.. ..Towards the end of the show it was a HUGE turn off for me on Bubba's part and even tho he would love to be the AH big romantic that said Paige" just let me look into your eyes".. that was soooooo producer driven that I had to LOL while watching it the second time as I didn't really hear his words much the first time because I was still caught up in Paige and Jeremiah and was waiting to see more of them, but didn't get to. So no, I don't think I could stomach another season of Bubba being crammed down my throat as this perfect vision of a man that every woman would be lucky to have. I just didn't see that!! Plus we as women have differing taste.. IMO... Sorry so long of a post. . .
Love,
You just captured my reaction perfectly. Thank you for stating so well, what I couldn't seem to quite find the words to express.
Aww thank you so much. I tried twice before I put the words down I was feeling. I didn't want to come off as anti-Bubba, because Bubba , I imagine, is a fine young man. He just wasn't meant for Paige anymore than Paige was meant for him. I do however, get sick of some contestants being jammed down my throat. Example being Courtney. I think I would have liked Ben's season a LOT more if they had shown us LESS of Courtney thus turning it into The Courtney Show...
I'm thrilled for Paige and Jeremiah and so glad they are able to joke in light of all the nasty messages they've gotten from Bubba fans. I still think it would make me feel better to see Bubba congratulate the couple, after the way CMT build him up to be this perfect dude.. .
BTW anybody that wants to can call me Sandra or Dovez since we already have a Love on here. Thank her and San so much for having such a wonderful place to read and leave ones thoughts.

OK, I just pulled an all nighter and watched the entire season in two days (yes I have to work in 1/2 hour.) I stayed up all night last night to finish it.
For now all I can say is OMG!!!!! Love Jeremiah and Paige! After the hammock scene you knew it was over. I will have to share more of my thoughts once I get some sleep.

OMG, I'm right there with ya! I haven't watched any of this show at all, never really knew anything about it, and I live in Alabama!! I kept hearing and seeing all this about Paige and Jeremiah, so I thought I would watch it. I am now on episode 5, and I'm loving it! Gotta go and finish...

LoveDovez...You echoed my thoughts totally. I've watched all 3 seasons of SHA and liked it so much more than what the Bach/Bachelorette shows have become. I don't fully watch the Bach/Bachelorette shows any more but still follow the sleuthing on this board because I'm fascinated with what everyone can figure out.
I'm really annoyed by the editing done on SHA this time. I'm sure Bubba is a good guy but it seems that the over the top good vs evil edit of Bubba vs Jeremiah has kind of killed it for me. I saw the connection between Paige and Jeremiah on their first date and after I saw an interview with Paige where she stated that her celebrity crushes were Chuck Wicks and Ashton Kutcher, I knew that Jeremiah was her "type" too. While I understand that the editing task was difficult this time because it was so obvious that Paige fell for Jeremiah early, that's what the editors are paid the big bucks for. The character assassination done to Jeremiah was the worst I've ever seen and, frankly, IMO truly irresponsible. To top it off, the producer in charge of the edit seems not to care in the least based on her replies in twitter to fans that have complained. Its as if the producers stop seeing the cast as people and see them only as characters in a storyline. Its the same as when employers label their staff as "resources" instead of employees. When you dehumanize people in this way, it allows you to unemotionally do bad things you might have guilt over if you were thinking of them as people. Laying off resources doesn't "sound" as terrible as laying off employees just as manipulating a character doesn't sound as bad as manipulating a person. I don't know if this is making sense.
Also hearing from interviews and postings by P & J about all the producer manipulations and mind games going on behind the scenes, it seems that SHA is just as unreal as the Bach/Bachelorette productions. I'm so disappointed. I really thought SHA was one of the few "real" reality shows. I should know better...my baby girl has worked on reality and live shows and ruined one of my other favorite "reality" shows for me. (Not a show she worked on but one her BFF did.) I may change my mind but for now, I think I'll just stick to reading the boards here.

Yes, from what Jeremiah said, the producers played mind games with him, trying to get him to doubt that Paige was really interested in only him, by insinuating that she was saying the same things to all the other guys that she was saying to him. I wouldn't be surprised if they also were telling Bubba at the same time that Paige was definitely falling in love with him, which is probably why he bought her a ring, and then had to switch gears at the last minute, once she "officially" chose JJ, and clued Bubba in, so that he could "save face" at the finale. I wouldn't even be surprised if they coached him about the whole "let me look in your eyes" BS, that has his fans now raving that he's psychic on top of all his other attributes. And all for the sake of drama. It actually makes me wonder if Bubba, in hindsight, feels a little pissed off at the way he was also manipulated, and maybe that's why he's been so silent. I think it will be telling whether or not he signs up to be the lead on the next show. You know he's already been asked.
And I agree that these producers are absolutely no better or more compassionate than MF and company are. I never really suspected they were, because just like with TB, in the first couple of seasons, these shows always involve far less manipulation until the producers get their feet wet, and realize what they can get away with, and the power they hold over their cast of pawns.

Ironcat, Jeremiah posted that Bubba was told but he deleted it. Luckily someone here was smart enough to post it. It was one of his replies to his second FB post about it just being a TV show because everyone was so upset. And then the bashers got to him.
I'm looking at the credits to see who owns the show. The credit is "Concept by Andrew Glassman" and CMT Productions, Inc. owns the copyright.
And from the looks of the pictures Glassman Media posted for the finale, Andrew Glassman should marry Bubba!! :laughingoutlou
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
CMT has two Executive Producers: Jayson Dinsmore and Claire McCabe, as well people in Production Management, Development Coordinator, Sr. Post Production Coordinator, Production Accountant, Business & Lega Affairs, Music & Media Licensing, Corporate Communications, Art Director, and Graphics. So CMT is not blameless in this disaster although the editors all work for Glassman. Glassman has two Executive Producers: Andrew Glassman and Grant Julian and a Co-Executive Producer: Larissa AK Matsson.
What I do like is that this is the first time CMT hasn't jumped immediately into another season. I'd love for the reason to be for Glassman's horrible edit of the love story they finally got lucky to have. And if that's not the reason I'm still happy that Glassman is uncertain.
you want truth? production told bubba she was in love with me and let him know she was gonna pick me... So how bout they tell me the opposite and let it ride... WAKE UP.. its a tv show and some one is gonna get the short end of the stick when it comes to the edit... BUT i got the love of my life so why do i care? CAUSE YOUR TALKING ABOUT MY GIRL...
