Episode 10 - 3/23 - Sweet Home Alabama 3 - Discussion

Lav, I do find it interesting that they haven't done what we all assumed was a given, in immediately jumping into a new season with Bubba as the lead. I also noticed that they have reconfigured the show facebook wall, in a way that highlights Paige and JJ more, and also so that all the negative bashing of them isn't quite so apparent. And there appears as well to have sprung up a small but vocal contingent of posters that are chastising the "haters" for their very immature and "un-Christianlike" comments, which makes me wonder if the producers are finally getting a clue that what they have created with their editing has gotten out of control ugly, and is reflecting poorly on themselves as well as their audience's demographic. Things that make you go HMMMM.

They owe us a follow up show grrrr !!!!

I wonder if Paige and Jeremiah will be offered a tv wedding ? and if Paige and Jeremiah would even consider it after what sha put them through

Ya know, at the end of the day, the love between these two shown through all the malarkey. Everyone's avis of them in the hammock lured me into the show around episode 7. Any viewer who looked at Paige and Jeremiah's faces knew that they both were done. Their eyes gave it all again and the way they softened around each other.

We all saw the love. I saw it and knew that JJ was a true kinda guy just by the way that he was with her. So Glassman can do whatever they please. Not sure that they'll top this season in the next few. Paige and JJ were just very special. Such a privilege to watch.

Makes my little heart warm :)

Ah Veg_Out I wish the bolded were true. It sure was for me but the twitter and facebook messages to Paige and Jeremiah dripping with antagonism and unbelievable hatred tell a different story. There are many, many crushed Bubba fans that bought into the edit and are STILL posting the most ridiculous messages to Page and Jeremiah.

I'm wondering if the reason that Glassman hasn't jumped into the next season of SHA is because they have now added the Southern Nights series to the roster. Southern Nights is produced by Glassman too. Maybe there isn't the urgency? It would be nice to think that Glassman is reflecting on the consequences of the bad edit but.... I'd be surprised.

The one reason that I think SHA is better than the Bach series is due to them not having the same connections to the 'tabloids' like the Bach series does.

The Bach series is just one big fat tabloid to sell 'products'. Whether it be a couple, clothes, whatever and the magazines/entertainment industry gets their 'scoops' or whatever the show WANTS them to say and print it.

Supposedly Fleissman has tweeted that for the 10th anniversary Emily show he's going to give the viewers what they want. There were lots of cynical replies to that. It's hard to believe he wasn't trying to give "what he thought the viewers wanted/needed" on previous shows? I do wonder if he's ever watched SHA.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes after a season has concluded, for it to be available on itunes? I know I can watch all episodes on CMT, but I swear, if I have to watch that damn Lattisse commercial one more time, I'm going to start pulling out my eyelashes.

They don't put it on itunes librarian :Frown: I don't have any commercials when I watch it? I think my add blocker lets me skip them

I was just PM'ing with someone about this yesterday. And it's a crap player in terms of buffering etc. This show is even more larded up with crap/repetitive ads than The Bachelor. It's a complete buzz kill. One has to invest 2 hours for every 15 minutes of desired content. Which only makes "one" feel really bad about herself, and lose sleep, because of course, you keep watching anyway. I'm pretty mad at that Mother who sends her kid to the yoplait section of the grocery store too. Who does that. None of these networks have really figured out ad-supported programming on the internet ... Hulu is the best for ad duration, variety, quality, targeting.

That Latisse ad is like restless leg syndrome. And talk about making one feel middle aged and depressed about falling within the show's apparent demographic!
