Re: Chris Bukowski - Bachelorette 8 - Thread #2
I was not going to join in on this discussion, but I guess I will. I honestly don't care how Emily gets her money, or if her future fiance is rich, or any of that. I just hope that this season of the bachelorette keeps me entertained, and I hope that Emily has fun during this process.

In any case, I think it's all a moot point. She's going to end up with a rich guy who can afford her and her tastes and the Loubies and Cartier for when he forgets to pick up his socks. So unless Chris or whoever is rolling in it, his chances of being F1 are nil. I don't think she cares where/who it comes from, he doesn't need to be an ibanker or anything. I'm sure she'll be cool with being with another trust fund kid, and I think I know a good candidate.
Seriously, I don't think Emily is as shallow as that.
Maybe I'm naive but I really think that with her having gone through the 'media circus' process before, she wouldn't go through the whole hassle again just on the chance possibility of snagging a "rich dude".
Call me dumb but I really think she is in it for love . :cutesmile!:
I have no doubt that she is falling hard for him, that's why I say she gets the best of both world. When love calls you better answer.

Re: Chris Bukowski - Bachelorette 8 - Thread #2
Something either Fleiss or one of the producers said made it very clear that Emily told them upfront that this process was going to end in someone for her to have a relationship with. That was as far as she would commit to with them. According to what the producer or Fleiss said, Emily did not commit to an engagement or to marriage. Therefore, if a proposal or an engagement happens, contrary to the Bachelors who we think had no choice, it will be because that is what Emily wanted.
However, having said that, not for one moment have I forgotten that Emily will have been "in the moment" in this process, and she will be like all the rest of them when she comes out and will go back to her "real life" and routine as a mother to Ricki in her daily life.
Therefore, if Emily chooses someone in the heat of the moment that her heart chooses but who does not really quite fit into the mold that is her life, I expect the relationship to fold just like the relationship with Brad did.

When you encourage someone in the present, you help that person to become successful in the future.

My comment was not directed at you nutty!! Im sorry if it sounded that way I just meant in general, the media plays her up to be all about money (which she does subject herself to by doing the show) and I guess I just disagree with the media!
Oh my goodness, I wasn't directing it at you or anyone!
I was just putting in my 2 cents!

I don't think that Emily is going to ask the guys to show her their bank accounts and make her decision based on that, nor do I think that she will totally disregard what kind of economic lifestyle the guys have at present, and what potential and expectations they have for their future. There are other options besides going with one extreme or the other, and Emily, if she's as smart as her fans seem to think, will hopefully realize that when she makes her choice.

There's always an out and Emily is a very clever gal. She was quoted, post Brad, saying she did fall in love with him so the process was 'a success'. I found that an odd statement, almost a justification to her going back on the show. That statement will see her through, once again, whether this season is a 'success' or not!

Emily would be naive to not consider the financial stability of her potential future mate. Everyone should consider how their lifestyles fit with those they chose to be in a relationship with, and if their lifestyles match now or have the potential to in the future. I honestly think that Emily will think about what lifestyle she wants and if who she picks can afford her the lifestyle she wants. Some guys may be okay with her supporting them or pulling more of the weight in the financial area, but others may can issue with that which could cause problems. JMO of course.

I believe she is falling hard for Arie. From what it seems to me in those 1-1 pics of she and Arie.

Emily isn't recently reeling from the loss of Ricki ... if she were in a rebound situation, then I think she may overlook certain things from an intellectual POV and go merely with an emotional connection (most rebound situations are based on emotions).
She has been on her own for many years, and is independant from a man's influence not only in her daily life, but also in the raising of her daughter. Hence her discussions with Brad about what daily life is really like with a child.
She should be looking at these men as to how they fit into her current life, which includes social, economical, parental values, parental methodology (discipline styles, etc), compatible lifestyles, compatible basic personality traits and so on. This isn't her first dance at the rodeo ...
Hopefully she'll keep her wits about her in the bachelor bubble.

Now you know I didn't mean Brad :P One has to be emotionally invested before the rebound affect comes into play.
