Re: Ashley & JP - Site and Wedding Updates - Discussion
I never got to see their wedding because it was on some obscure cable channel in the Seattle area, rather than on TBS, which showed the original series. I have the DVD of the Outback Jack series, though, and have watched it several times. "Jack" was so incredibly charming and handsome, and Natalie was such a kook. They were just adorable together.
During the series, Jack and a group of city girls made their way across the Australian outback, and a girl was eliminated from the mix each week. In the end, he chose Natalie, he carried her from the beach to a waiting sailboat, and they sailed off into the sunset. Ahhhhhh, romance...

It sounds good. I tried to see if I see some episodes on you tube. Nothing there. :Frown: Sorry I missed it.

A couple of years after I watched the series on TV, I bought the DVD set on ebay for about $10. Hope that helps!

I don't think I have ever heard a complaint about the set design capabilities of the Bach/Bachette production staff. So I think that what we will see on December 16th will live up to that high standard, at least.
I think the comments on the adequacy of the venue pretty much miss the point. The only two things that matter are 1) that the producers got what they need to create a Bach/Bachette TV wedding on a 32" or better screen that will touch the heart of the Bach/Bachette fans, and 2) that the unbelievably fortunate guests came away feeling they had participated in a once-in-a-lifetime experience of excitement, love, and warmth which comes from simultaneously being a cast member (or extra) and being in love with Ashley and JP.
Best, we bach/bachettes will get to enjoy and savor every aspect of this as it unfolds over the next couple of weeks. Let's hope we can get some good insights from our usual sources.

I loved Outback Jack but it wasn't very realistic. I did enjoy when they parachuted the women in their pretty dresses & heels though. I loved the couple after the fact although she wasn't my favorite in the show. He wasn't exactly an "Outback Jack" but whatever works I guess.
I'm sure the wedding was beautiful and we'll enjoy seeing the finished product but (just like Jason & Molly) I wish they'd be more creative with their weddings. They do so well having the water locations for the show's FRC, why not try it for one of the weddings? My favorite of the televised weddings was Rob & Amber and I don't even like them. Oh well, the inside location looks beautiful.

I must be reading different sites then.
The last FRC (JEM)production site looked like a cheap yard and garden display from KMART. And some of the FRC gowns have been pretty gaudy/tacky in the past. "High standards" is not what I generally associate in the same sentence with this franchise, but that's just me.
But the most important thing is a) ratings and $$$ b) the happiness of the wedded couple and their loved ones who celebrated said event (and not necessarily in that order).
No good deed goes unpunished.
Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, bye Felicia!
