Of course we're the judge and jury....WE always know what's best for these leads who are blinded by lust and initial passion...they never have their heads screwed on straight (exception being Ashley). giggling

Well, ultimately what's best for Ricki is for her mother to be happy in her relationship with whichever man she chooses. If we go on the assumption that a relationship with Ryan will be a more "serious" and fast moving one, and a relationship with Arie will be a more "carefree" one (again, this may not be the case, but I think it will probably be the perception of most fans, and the image the edit will try to enforce), then Emily choosing Ryan will only be best for Ricki if Emily is truly gaga for him, and not if she only views him as the "safer" choice and better father material, despite being infatuated with Arie, and all that his lifestyle offers her. If the latter is the case, I actually think she'd be better off choosing Arie and seeing how it plays out. Based on how she dealt with Brad, I don't imagine she'll introduce her (cough) "fiance" into Ricki's life much until she's absolutely sure about him, so I don't think conducting a bit of a long distance courtship with Arie, and perhaps occasionally traveling with him in order to check out his lifestyle, while having Ricki's loving grandparents do a bit of babysitting, would be a bad thing, until she (and he) are either convinced that he's ready to be Ricki's new daddy, or they realize it won't work out.

Perhaps, being a Ryan fan (for now), I'm just preparing myself for the possibility that Emily is going to end up choosing Arie by trying to focus on the fact that "the heart wants what the heart wants", and I hope she doesn't choose Ryan just because she thinks he'll make a better "Daddy", even though she is more attracted to what Arie has to offer "Mommy". That would be a mistake IMO; sometimes you're better off getting something out of your system, so to speak. Don't know if that's the case with Emily, but it might be.

eta I also suppose that the reverse could be true, and she'll see Arie as better daddy material while lusting after Ryan, but I guess it's just hard for me to imagine that based on what we know as of now. Could change of course, and this scenario applies to whoever her F2 are (but I'll be shocked if it isn't those two!).

Speaking of Ryan...are we sure that his HT if he gets one will be in Augusta? Where do his folks live? Or, is that even going to come into play?

Born in Newport CA and raised in Evans just outside Augusta GA,

so I am assuming his family is still in GA

Was just going to post the same Noobs! :WAVEY: As far as I can remember, we haven't heard anything about his parents no longer living in the Evans/Augusta area. Have we and I just don't remember?
