Seriously tho... if Ryan is F1 the mods might want to consider a separate thread where all of us wackos can "squee" at the top of our lungs and post as many love, jumping heart, and drooling emoticons as we want. That way poor Bloomers only has to see that when she wants to LOL.

:WAVEY: I like what I know about Ryan's character from what we have read, seen first hand on a video and heard from people who know him. He is certainly handsome, and if you look at every picture, Emily certainly looked like she connected with him. In fact, she has a dreamy look on her face!

However....and here is a big But coming! I know from the past many times what happens when people fall head over heels in love with someone who is NOT F1. I am going to GUARD MY HEART!!! The spoilers come in very valuable for this particular purpose. If we find out that Ryan is NOT F1, then I am going to rein thos feelings so that I don't end up with a broken heart at the end of this season like others do every season.

I want to be able to sleuth for details objectively, and I can't do that anyway if I get too emotionally involved. That is the bottom line.

Nevertheless, I do like what I see about this young man. Again, though, I do want to remember that he is just a man which means that he also has faults! As good as he seems, just like the rest of us, something is wrong with him. Just a tiny little reminder? :hidingchair

However, Blondie, I think Ryan is a practicing Christian from what I can tell. He is romancing one woman at this point. That is a far cry from romancing 25 women and deliberately deceiving them along the way which is what happens and has to happen in the premise of this show. I am not sure that if he completely understood what he would need to do, Ryan would agree to be the lead. I know that Meredith's Matthew turned down the role of the next Bachelor because he refused to deceive someone as he was deceived. It was my understanding that Matt was a practicing Christian as well.

Not Bloomers but Yep she sure is... which is why I am very interested to see how this season shakes out. Most leads are about 90% sure who F1 is going to be going into HTDs. If Emily knows, I wonder if we are going to see her begin to pull away much sooner then other leads have.

Another thing, is that Emily got upset at Brad because he didn't keep certain things special for her. He said to much of the same thing to too many women. I wonder how Emily is going to handle this same issue.

I saw pictures of Emily wearing T-shirts with scripture verses - among them John 3:16 which states that God sent Jesus to shed his blood on the cross for anyone who will believe in Him. That told me that Emily is a Christian, but it doesn't tell me the depth of her beliefs as opposed to hearing Ryan's personal testimony - which was quite explicit - to that group of kids.

I strongly suspect - but of course do not know - that Emily had some understandings with Fleiss and the producers concerning what she would and would not do as a mother and as a woman with her personal beliefs. This I think is upheld by Fleiss's tweets about how long it was going to take Emily to kiss, etc. I think she came across loud and clear.

I think Emily will be affectionate - arms around, hugs, etc. - but I do not think she will appear in any way skanky, loose, or easy. Although she will want that Fantasy Suite time to talk, I personally think she will preface it with some type remark that makes it clear to the guys and everyone listening that she is not initiating an intimate encounter. It may be couched in terms that sounds like it is because she is a mother, but I believe it is also because she has personal high standards as well.

All very good points Bloomers! It will be interesting to see how she 'reassures' each guy to make each feel special and, as you noted above, fullfill the lead with a level of acting, or deceit, if you want to call it that. All new territory on the Bach with a single mom with standards to maintain! Yep...interesting.

I have heard, read that Emily is very caring, and attentive by nature. She takes the time and makes people feel like she really is interested and is listening to what they are saying. That in itself is going to make the guys feel like she's interested even if she's not. Why did I just get the image of Brad talking with the chick that had the pizza and was worried about her breath :shocked!: Very obvious Brad was not interested! I like that fact that she's not going to be kissing every dude in the house, and the kisses that are "shown" will probably be fairly tame in comparison to past Bachelorettes.
