You know that was said in private to a producer, etc. I think he must not have come across as agressive as the other guys and maybe Emily took that as not being as invested as others. Just guessing. I don't think he literally meant Emily wanted him to make out as in what I might interpret make out to be. I could be wrong but I'm going to cut him some slack as he was upset and it was a private conversation expressing his frustration more than likely.

What I do not understand is if Doug was not emotionally connected to Emily then why can he not be a good sport and leave graciously. Why throw a verbal tantrum when he was let go? The only reason I can think of was he was hoping for a HTD and his pride was hurt when he was eliminated. I admired how in Ashley's season Lucas ,Ryan P and Ames took their elimination like gentlemen.

I'll go back and read but I thought he was leaving the hotel when that was overheard as in on his way to take flight home.

He is saying that Emily wanted him to kiss her, and he didn't want to make a move on her, so she eliminated him. Is that right?

Maybe he thought he was showing her respect, but before she took him on a hometown, she needed to at least kiss him and see if there was chemistry? If he wouldn't at least kiss her, then something was right between them in her mind? Is that what everyone else is getting?
This is just kind of strange for this show!

But it does remind me of Meredith's F3 Chad who was on a gondola ride with her, and the suspense kept building, but I don't think he ever did kiss her either.

JMO, but with all the suitors and good looking men we've seen... no kiss... not one.... well he's out of there a long time ago!

I don't remember if it was that scene or not, but when he did kiss her, he puckered up so badly that the board let out a collective guffaw. I was rooting for him up to that point ... what a disappointment! Just thinking about that images still makes me shudder.

I never thought that a single dad with a life across the country would suit Emily in any way, shape or form. I'm personally happy he's gone sooner rather than at F3/2.

I like this guy and he is from very near me . Would have been fun to have a HTD here. But I dont think that Emily would ever take a chance on Doug and moving to Seattle, unless it was a planned breakup after a couple of months.

I am sorry for fans of Doug's who wanted him to be the F1. Maybe he will be considered to become the next lead. I never really saw him as her F1, but I wish him well.

The first thing I thought of when I read this was the HTD with Brad and Emily, and how he wouldn't kiss her because of Ricki.... that didn't sit well with Emily either... ''She'll always be upstairs...''
