Is hard to talk to or rude to people or only cares about superficial things.

What's your best date memory?
A really long hug at the end of a first date with my ex. Neither one of us wanted to let the other go. It was nice.

Doug is a third generation local boy. He went to school in Eastern Washington (Cheney), (1996 - 2000) sort of near Spokane. It is possible he was married when he lived in eastern Washington.

His grandfather, who died in Januay, however, had roots firmly in Federal Way. He owned the land on which the original shopping mall was built, and was instrumental in the town becoming a city rather than a blip along the highway.

Doug did go to Wharton in PA, but came back home where his roots are. I read somewhere he lives in Tacoma, but I dont know that for sure.

I find it hard to imagine Emily uprooting her family to Washington for anyone. Somewhere in the south, yes, but not Seattle/Tacoma. And I dont know why Doug would leave his family and his job to move to Charlotte. But that may be a reason for them to not work.

I agree with Jelle, I don't think he is going anywhere and I don't see Em moving to to Washington state = not working out.

These are not two different countries we are talking about. I find it very hard to believe that if there was a genuine case of falling in love that one of them relocating would be a problem. I think people under estimate Emily in that regard, jmo.

I think she needs a Southern man in his late 30s has been there, done that in terms of making serious money, doesn't have any kids, and is ready to make his entire life doting on Emily and Ricki. It's a tall order, definitely, but hopefully TPTB delivered.

Career Summary

Born and raised in Tacoma, Washington, Doug graduated from Eastern Washington University and is also a graduate of the Wharton School of Business Certified Financial Manager's program.

Before joining Kidder Mathews, Doug was the President and Designated Broker for CFG Properties, one of Seattle's boutique commercial real estate development and brokerage companies, specializing in tenant representation, sales and development of commercial and investment properties. Doug has worked in the real estate business for the majority of his professional career. During that time he has overseen the development, financing, construction, leasing and sales of properties totaling in excess of $300 million.

In addition to handling his own commercial client base and development portfolio, Doug is actively involved with several trade, civic and community organizations. He is a member of the Franciscan Health Foundation and serves on the Board of Directors for Spring Valley Montessori School.

The discription you just made of the kind of man she would need does not sound very flattering to Emily-imo. I know that sounds a lot like Brad. But one of the reasons I think she actually needs someone a little closer to her age and with a child is because I believe those where two of the problems with Brad.

Oh I think she will move for someone! I didn't mean it to sound like that because I know she has moved for a guy before. But I think (again JMO) she is planning on staying east coast where she could be near her mom and g-ma and poppop Hendrick.

I see her like Ashley kinda.... Ash was never moving to Sonoma IMO, but two hours away from her apt and school in Philly? Yes, please.
