I don't think it's worth worrying who's more ready for marriage because it's almost a certainty that it's not going to happen. I guess there's still hope for Ben but as noted the Bachelors aren't all that good at getting married and especially not with their f1. The women are better but not by a lot.
But, don't you think that has more to do with the leads themselves? I think Jen just wasn't into any of the guys and Emily is a lot more reserved, conservative, drama-free, and seemed Ricki obsessed (love her, but I get why people thought her season was boring).

I agree Jen was not into the guys. I could hardly watch her season as I found her boring and unable to carry the show. I did find some comic release in the guy who asked to leave.
M--I don't think she is in reality close to the persona the show portrayed, certainly not the devoted mom.

kasha,
Well said! Jen's season was so bad that it almost turned me off from the show for good. She was never going to pick any of them. I agree with the comment in bold about Emily. I do think that was a persona and not the real Emily.

Lochte was just interviewed on Access Hollywood and said that The Bachelor has NOT contacted him but he is ready to find a girlfriend and hopes they do call him.

IMO, Lochte's mom was telling the truth about her son's one night stands. He has had a reputation for being a horndog and was photographed twice in London, all pie-eyed, getting into cars with drunk women late at night. I think he's doing all this "girlfriend" talk to try to clean up his reputation for his current sponsors and potential sponsors.

I know nothing about any specifics but I did hear on the radio this morning that he has an upcoming role on a TV show (maybe like a 90210 or something like that). So, it seems his TV gigs are already coming in and taken care of.
I really like Roberto but there's just something odd about finding love on TV, getting engaged, breaking up and then doing it again on TV. I've gotten use to the F2 or F3 broken hearted coming back.
The thing with Emily I guess didn't seem as odd because they barely showed her to have any personality on Brad's season and her season was so different than past shows because of Ricki, being in Charlotte, the boring dates (they goodness for the few good guys she had and my Arie eye candy or I would have tuned out a long time ago on that snooze fest). Roberto and Ali had a long relationship, well long in TB years, lived together, were planning to get married, the whole works. Just think it would be so random for them to bring him back again as the lead, especially since unlike Emily, he never discussed the breakup on TB show like Emily did with he sit down with CH.

...but you just described their personalities, and not anything to do with the fact that they were F1. If Jen/Emily had been F2/F3, you would have still disliked their seasons, because they would still have been boring to you.
I do agree with the fact that Emily is not the devoted mom/barely dated before Brad/goes to sleep at 7 with nothing do do person that she has been depicted to be.

My issue is that they were all the f1 in their 1st season. We saw them in love and getting engaged so it's just strange to see them come back again. I really don't care if it didn't work for them the first time. I don't want to see them back on tv to find love a 2nd time. I felt the same way about Brad and would say the same about any other repeat lead as well as f1.

I agree with you about that. I think that one of the reasons that we root for the lead to find love is because we've seen them publicly humiliated and heartbroken. To see the "winner" get the opportunity seems unfair.
My point was that people keep saying that Emily/Jen's season was boring, and that proves that F1s are always boring. I disagree - I think it was their personalities/interest in guys that made the season boring. To say that that means that all f1s are automatically boring is a reach.
My personal opinion in that F2/F3s have a better draw initially, but after that, it's up to the lead and contestants to make the show.

That's how I felt about it with Jen, it was just weird, but watching Emily it seemed like having been in that "winner" spot and then not having it work out really taught her something. Not just the lines they had her uttering during the season, but things that were much more tangible, a real strong sense of what makes relationships work. She seemed to bring that matured sense to the show, even if she may have been one of the worst ever at the breakups.
I think their hope with Roberto is that he would be coming from a strong place to make wise choices. Which is also possible with Sean and Arie, but it is also possible that it is too soon.
Arie I think brings the most personality, but there is a lot about him we don't know that the producers might, which are factors to making a successful season.
I think from a fan standpoint they have 3 strong choices, and no way are they going outside the Franchise. I think the decision will come down to things that we, as viewers, have never been party to knowing about these guys.
Just give me something that looks like a real love story to help me escape into my own version of fantasy for a while. And maybe against the odds one of those stories will actually survive real life. Nothing wrong with a little hope, right?
