It's disappointing but not surprising. If they can reel in someone with his notoriety who wants it, I can't imagine them not being able to broker a deal. He certainly doesn't need TB for his harem though.

DWTS might help more with his Hollywood aspirations but he couldn't do that until March so I can see why TB might be appealing to him for the PR cycle. Heck, he could do both if he was able to muddle his way through TB ok.

He has said even more recently that he wants a GF and someone to share his life with. This story came out right after Phelps (and or his girlfriend) outed the relationship. Interesting doesn't begin to describe this. But why? Does he want someone or not?

Holy heck he is delicious to look at though.

The only thing I can come up with Lochte wanting to be a Bachelor (if this is the case) is that he's using the show as a 'STEPPING STONE" to bigger things in Hollywood. He's striking the iron while it's hot, to his advantage to become an A-list Celebrity. And he knows how to drum up too.

The downside is that the loyal fans of the Bach Franchise who wants a real love story, would really be crush especially Arie fans.

I haven't seen anything that quotes Lochte as saying anything about The Bachelor. I suspect he doesn't even know he's being talked about. He's not retiring. He's going to continue swimming until the next Olympics and he's said that. Which means he's going to be training. He'll have no time for any new career. It's all just talk from Fleiss, probably using it to delay making the announcement. But Fleiss better watch out because his two top guys are out there socializing and meeting women. If he waits too long, they'll both be taken.

Lochte WOULD be brilliant for the trainwreck lovers! I can see the dates: swimming laps, swimming lessons, 25 one-night stands on night one, and lots of incoherent babbling worsened by alcohol!

I get the sense that Lochte prefers weed to alcohol. He seems like a stoner to me.

It's just a hypothetical idea, if in case Lochte will be the Bachelor. Somebody posted that even Chris H. tweeted that Lochte is in the short list of the Bachelor Choices. There's also an article that he wants to be in DWTS, but it's too late for him this year. So, the alternative is to be the Bachelor.

At any rate, I fervently hope that Arie will be the Bachelor because first off, I don't want another blow to Arie if he really wants it. Secondly, I concur with you that what Fleiss' indecision tantamounts to a tactic/leverage so that Arie/Sean will be baited, to ease up some of the terms in their contract.

Lastly, I'm counting that Arie will be knowledgeable and shrewd enough to play Fleiss game to his advantage and at the same time he has a good lawyer that will genuinely represents his best interest and well-being.

Screaming...just sat through the Matt Lauer Ryan Lochte interview on Today. Ryan said he'd do either DWTS or The Bachelor. Ryan wants to move to LA and get into fashion, designing his own line.

Yaks..... I am not interested to view Ryan Lochte completing a table with all the women he scores with at the end of the bachelor. This is not my form of entertainment; sorry I am thinking that they are going to make the bachelor more like BP with Ryan Lochte as the bachelor. hissyfit
