The Bachelor 17 - Speculation/Spoilers - Discussion

MF tossed his name out on twitter a few weeks ago but I figured he was joking and trying to latch on to the Lochte buzz at the time. I guess he might be. It'll be a joke ala Jesse Palmer all over again.

I saw something about him wanting to be on DWTS. It might have been US Weekly and People Magazine, but I didn't bother reading those articles.

Yes..Lochte received 75% of the vote over Phelps on a People poll to be on DWTS.

I will be disappointed if it's not Arie as the Bachelor. What Fleiss is viewpoint that I can't see?

Easy, free buzz..the foundation has been laid with someone like Lochte. Name recognition, extensive media coverage, over 900K Twitter followers, it would be a dream come true for the Machine. He would be banking on the trainwreck lover / Bieber segments of the demo coming through for him in terms of viewers.

Now, I can see what you're saying and I'm really nervous for Arie not getting the gig. Yap, Fleiss will have a feast on Lochte's trainwreck journey. I'm sure it will be full of drama, controversies, sensationalism by the tabloids and all that entails.

How can they choose Lochte? He cant recite the lines. And he wont say the stuff about wanting to find a wife. He's just not going to be malleable. Those sports superstars will only do what they want. He's totally arrogant. They wont be able to work with him - they are used to calling the shots.
And the contract? I cant even imagine his agents would let him give up such control.

He's made it clear he doesnt even want a girlfriend. Yuch. There have to be other , older , better athletes. Athletes who need the higher profile and will be willing to make sacrifices to get it.

My brain is literally having trouble computing all of the Lochte information that is being thrown around....

We have his mom saying that he regrets having a GF when he went to Beijing, and that he is having alot of fun in London, YET...

He has said even more recently that he wants a GF and someone to share his life with. This story came out right after Phelps (and or his girlfriend) outed the relationship. Interesting doesn't begin to describe this. But why? Does he want someone or not?

Ryan Lochte, despite Michael Phelps' record-breaking Olympics, has emerged as the new poster boy for Team USA's men's swimmers. And the gold medalist appears to relish the possible sexual satisfaction in the Games' Village too.

The 27-year-old told ESPN The Magazine that 70 to 75 per cent of athletes in the Olympic Village will have sex with their fellow athletes during the 17 days.

Lochte is "excited" about this. "My last Olympics, I had a girlfriend — big mistake," he said prior to the London Games. "Now I'm single, so London should be really good. I'm excited."
