Did anyone see when Peter was proposing to Hannah Ann he said Madison but then tried to cover it up by saying she left

You just deeply insulted Mama Bears everywhere. Barb is NOT a member of our club, believe me. She is a manipulative, classless, tacky, controller who is so self centered and self serving, she found the perfect stepford husband who allowed her to place the weight of a ridiculous onslaught of tears and histrionics on helpless little boys until they became stepford sons.

Those boys don’t even have careers of their own. If I remember correctly they are both pilots like their dad. Those so-called men are guilt-ridden, uber manipulated and pathetic - measuring their entire lives on the basis of what SHE wants and what will stem the tide of another tear filled hissy fit.
I did not see protective, motherly instincts. There are many wholesome, loving mother-son relationships we can all see, everyday. Fierce love of a son who has been encouraged and supported to become a man.  On my screen, I saw a woman who completely flipped her s**t because she felt her ironclad control of Peter slipping. IMO, she does not love him, she does not respect him and she does not care how he feels or what he wants. How dare he not bring home (to “us”) the girl most likely to worship HER. She could never have totally embarrassed and humiliated him for the entertainment of millions and to satisfy her own self-righteous ego if she truly loved him, IMO. I’m sure she thinks she loves him and there are those who support that notion. I disagree.

Seeing who and what Barb is explained Peter’s behavior all season, in technicolor. How he was impacted and manipulated by tears, tattling, lying and manipulation. How he failed to please anyone because he tried to say things and behave to please everyone, especially tptb. How even when Madi got up and left the table on their FD, or when she showed up at his house last week, he had to wait to measure his reactions. He never just ran to her or had a natural response. He’s stilted and uncertain, always.

Madi is going to take Barb’s finished masterpiece of submissive, yes man over 2500 miles away. The main reason they hate her, IMO. I don’t envy Madi the work she has ahead of her to help him grow back what Barb has kept in her purse all his life. Through faith and love and with the help of other strong men in her family and religious community, she may actually succeed in making Peter the man she needs and wants but even if she doesn’t and he gives up and goes back home, the light of the real world has been shone on Barbara and their whole family. Peter will not soon forget what it showed him about his mom (dad and brother, too). He loves her, loves them all I’m sure but, not even Barb can put that genie back in the bottle. She didn’t just tip her hand, she took off all her masks on Main Street/national tv. The more each one of them tries to justify their behavior, the more the dysfunction dances and entertains.

Shame on tptb for making Peter’s family his co-stars. What they thought was compelling drama was just So Very SAD. All IMO.

I thought at the time he just stammered Madison's name a moment so he could think about how he should tell Hannah she was the only one still there.
Peter did not seem resigned or reluctant at all asking Hannah to marry him and did say at the time I love your three times in a row to her. I wonder though how it would have ended if Madison had not left. He would have been forced to compare his feelings for the 2 of them then. As it was when Madison left she left him feeling as though he was missing out so he couldn't stop thinking of her. I also want to know why Hannah A mentioned Hannah B in the same breath as Madison that Peter had unresolved feelings for. Did Peter tell her that he was still not over Hannah B? I thought Hannah A was very well spoken & under the circumstances was able to explain her feelings and tell Peter mistakes he made. I feel sorry for Hannah & Peter & Madison & as CH always says " everyone who was involved in this one".

Peter will never have a satisfactory relationship with any woman with the mother he has. Even Hannah Ann wouldn't have survived her. His brother won't either. Wonder what his girlfriend thinks about all of this? Evidently she is on the "we love her" level right now but will that last?

IMO Kelley was there because mom requested it. Mom has posted that she hopes to see Kelley in person while she is in LA.
The whole family follows Kelley on IG which makes me think they may actually know her.

IMO Madi is being thrown under the bus by CH and LZ because mom is very close to CH and others on the production team. CH has been to their house for dinner at least one has been documented on IG. We know she got buddy-buddy with producer Julie as well. She has ingratiated herself into their world. They knew what she would do last night and that is why we saw her in the box so often. They aren't going to cross her because of what she would do to them. The woman has no boundaries at all.

I posted this in the general discussion thread but I will add it here since it does pertain to the episode and deals with Hannah Ann and her version of events as told to BHH:

As for Hannah Ann, I'm still not buying the story she is trying to sell.  According to reddit, those who have listened to the BHH podcast, said that Hannah Ann said they break up was in late January.  I still don't buy it.  That scar on his face would have had lots of time to heal between mid-November and late January. It still looked rather "fresh" in that breakup.  Case in point, look at photo on IG of him and Nick on February 12. Another case in point.. photo on IG dated 2/1.  Photo of his family on Jan 25 on IG. Then there is a video on his IG from 1/1.  None of these photos (which are not publication photos where makeup would be overly applied)  show a scar like the one in the break up video.

I will add that I do not know when the Jan 25th photo was taken but the others do appear to be rather close to the date they were posted. The video was on NYE in NYC, so pretty much real time.

I see Peter and Madi getting the same backlash that Jason and Molly got after their season. There are a lot of similarities even though Jason just made the wrong choice and sent Molly home. Peter and Madi would be well served to talk with them privately. I wouldn't doubt they would have some good advice for them.

And, again I say, it may not work out for them but how will they know if they don't try. Better than having the "what if" thoughts in their minds the rest of their lives.

I just feel so sad for Peter and Madi.

Once again, I have to rain on even my own parade in terms of Peter's mom. Why give her the floor and put her in the box to watch as they were speaking? There is only one reason and that is for the drama. Chris knew how volatile this was and he and TPTB did less than nothing to make this easier for a couple that is struggling with their own emotions and only made it harder. I really have become so angry with them that I no longer watch. I did not watch one episode until Monday night but I did read RS, so I was well aware of the crap show that it was going to be, only it was way worse than I even thought. I wanted to give it a chance but I am really so disgusted that I chose not to waste any time. Instead I wasted my time on Below Deck!!!

I can speak to lines drawn in the sand by parents as I have a Christian girlfriend who married a Jewish guy and his family told them he would be "dead" to them if he married her. I would often say to her WTH did they think the two of you were just friends after dating for 2 years? She agonized over this because in her view he would lose his family because of her. He always replied, so it is better that I marry a Jewish girl that I don't love and live unhappy for the rest of my life. They did marry and he has not seen his family in 37 years. They have been to family weddings etc. but they have no contact with them. For them, it worked, not sure for Madi and Peter's future.

I was stunned after watching as well. I was so excited for Peter/Madi - but I was numb
after watching the exchanges with his mother. Now seeing the translation of what she
said to her husband - "Wow!" When Peter turned around twice to say - that he loved
Madison and that should be enough - the pain in his eyes was so apparent. Perhaps this will be a wake-up call for him to look to the future with his Lady!!
I hope that the two of them can stay strong, work together and build a wonderful life
together. I am sure they will have their ups/downs - but if you can get through the tough times - just like walking up to the top of the building - it will be worth it. I think they are both kind/caring individuals.

What a mess. I guess there will be no sight of Peter and Madison together on any shows. His mother ruined his ounce of happiness that he had at the end of this nightmare on last nights show. I doubt there will be a People shoot either. Which makes me wonder what the hell Madison was doing a few weeks ago landing in Burbank with 2 hugh suitcases
I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall back stage last night when Madison and Peter got off that stage. So sad for both of them. For him not to make any media rounds starting with Jimmy K and GMA today and podcasts had to be a last minute cancel by him and Im surprised they let him do it. jmo

Last night, well, really the entire season, was hard to watch.

Most seasons don't wrap perfectly anymore, but few end on a note of genuine discord and heartbreak. I wish only love and joy to Peter and Madi if they decide to give their relationship a true chance or if they eventually cut their losses and move on. Hope that they find all the support in the world.

The finale of season 24 of “The Bachelor” draw the ABC dating series’ largest audience in four years.

Just under 8.5 million viewers tuned in last night to see pilot Peter Weber make his final choice and take off into the sunset, well, sort of. The show scored a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49, matching the rating put up by last season’s finale.

It's called convincing yourself, where you step out the real world into la la land. I have said from the beginning choose the one that has your heart or no one. What's that saying "easy said than done". He just thought he could do it.
