Bachelorette 16 - Clare Crawley & Tayshia Adams - Filming Schedule - *Sleuthing Spoilers*

PURE SPECULATION:  

Last week Millsy announced on Ryan Seacrest's show that filming for Clare's season would begin in "about a month".  I'm thinking in order to also begin filming Matt's season in Sept, Clare's would probably begin on or about July 15.  That means quarantine where ever they are filming beginning about July 1.  I'm thinking we check SM of guys who we think will be on her season for travel beginning next Mon-Tues????  So our drought of info may be lessening LOL.

The US coronavirus control and testing have been problematic. Quite a few States are seeing spikes with new cases.

@pavalygurl I was thinking the same and have been checking the contestants SM so we have a snapshot of current details.

@Idlemess IA I think this is going to squash whatever they were planning unless they are sticking to California and not moving from there. They would have to plan in advance for filming locations etc. If they choose a state where they are now becoming hotspots, what a mess that will do to their plans.

I'm listening to Bachelor Happy Hour right now and Clare said she just found out the date that she's leaving to film and that it's "very very soon".

I'm only about 20 minutes into the podcast but she's coming across very self-aware and introspective so far. Seems like she's matured since her last reality TV stint.

Just throwing this out there - maybe when Mills said it will "shoot in about a month" he meant "it will take about a month to shoot" rather than "it will begin shooting in a month?"    

With no International travel, maybe they're going to just shoot the whole thing during July to make up lost time, then move on and concentrate on Matt's (hotly anticipated) season.

Also he says they will only be waiting one week after testing (not long enough IMO!) so if Clare does leave in the next day or two, they could potentially begin at the start of July.

@Bobette Tested a week before then they start shooting? They better have the results in less than a week and they better be self quarantined while waiting for the results. I would prefer they are all tested, then self quarantined for two weeks then travel to start filming. Once on location they would have to get tested again and wait until negative tests come in. Only then would they be in a "bubble" IMHO.

Good point on saving time travelling and possibly filming the month of July.

You can get results within 24 hours. We did...and all is clear. But we had priority in getting results because of the nature of where we work. I suppose there might be a private company that could do that for them?

@Sprite Yep can get results in 24 hrs but the incubation period can still be 14+ days, so someone could catch it today and not return a positive test for weeks.  I'd think they'd be wise to wait the full 2 weeks but they seem eager to get the show on the road.

@Bobette Oh, yes. I am aware that the incubation period is longer. I was just responding to the fact that you can get results quickly. They seem to be in a rush and unfortunately that is why the cases are spiking again all over the US.

There are COVID-19 tests that return results in 10-15 mins. They are frequently used and they are simple to read like pregnancy tests. Their accuracy in detecting antibodies is exceptional, problem is the viral load must be sufficient to be detected (it’s a blood test) and we don’t know exactly what it means when it shows prior exposure. 

(SPOILER): I’m hearing that Clare, cast, & crew will arrive in Palm Springs, CA around July 9th/10th, everyone will be quarantined for a week, then filming will begin around the 17th. The resort where the whole season will be filmed, I believe, is the Ritz Carlton Rancho Mirage.
