Along those lines, do we know if garrett 's religious leanings align with becca's?

I'm not about to have a discussion about bible quotes but I highly doubt Garrett was thinking about bible quotes when he said he couldn't wait to meet her people. It's 2018 and we aren't discussing a colony of people.

It was IMO an strange choice of words and just another example of why I think he's so weird.

Becca is the one that said it to him first, did people think it was weird then? He was likely just echoing what she said to him.

Becca in the Bahamas: "I'm excited to meet family that you came from and your people"

I highly doubt it has anything to do with the Bible.  It’s just a play on that stupid, overused Grey’s “my person” bs. My person, my people.

My "people" are my family, close friends, and those close to me who have helped make me who I am. I didn't even give that a second thought when either of them said it. Maybe because I have heard that term used often. I also think (my opinion of course) that this is just one more thing that shows how "in sync" and alike they are. Again, only my opinion...others have theirs and that's how it should be, right? Regardless, I'm glad shes so happy!!

IMO when we don't like someone, pretty much everything they do irritates us. Poor guy probably breathes the wrong way.

It may be a common terminology today, just like calling your partner Daddy. IMO both are ridiculous. Maybe he will continue mimicking her as couples often do, which will aid him with his vocabulary. Whether I like the guy or not, ChrisS got reamed through the coals for not being able to string a full competent sentence. I don't see any difference here.

@Sprite The famous "b*tch eating crackers" phenomenon! When you really hate someone and you see them eating crackers and think "look at that b*tch eating crackers like she owns the damn place"

I criticized Garrett more than anyone in the beginning, but I admit that I find all this a bit silly, IMO.
