We’ll let ya live, don’t worry  I’m not surprised, it’s not like G is even that unique considering our current administration. Someone (many someone’s) agree, to an extent, with him too. Ehhhh what a mess Becca has made of things.

I just hate that politics has penetrated this season. Blah. It had so much promise... and ruined.

I don’t think this is as far reaching a story as people think. My personal opinion is it will be ignored until ATFR. Garrett and Becca will address it then. IMO, I’m quite certain there were questions that weren’t allowed during her media today. At the end of the day, ratings for the bachelor aren’t all that great, there’s just a lot of social media presence and that’s why we’re hearing and seeing about it. Most of my friends who watch the show know nothing. The comments sections on so many of the articles are 50/50. The Roseanne news blew this out of the water. It was killing it in viewership and ABC did the right thing. Roseanne legit said those horrible words, I do think a like is different than saying it or posting it yourself. And Roseanne’s attempt at an apology was disgraceful. I believe when the time comes, Garrett will apologize, claim to want to be better and hopefully mean it, and then it will be up to Becca and Garrett to see if that’s the case or not. Everything will go on and hopefully what this did was bring awareness to the fact that our actions, no matter how big or small we think they are can have far reaching consequences. So we should act wisely and with good intent.  We should be good people, even behind our screens on the internet.

I mean, the story has been picked up by a dozen major publications, including People and US, which are usually the show's mouthpiece. That's pretty much as big as you get, as even Jordan's Raya drama, Peter's yearbook quote, Bryan's Player appearance, Lee's tweets, and Maquel's pictures weren't picked up by as many sites as this story was. And, in all of those cases, either the lead or the contestant (or both) made a comment and were asked in interviews well before the season finale. I don't see any way in hell that Becca or Garrett avoid making a comment for 2.5 months about this. IMO.

I guess my point is the bachelor is peanuts to Roseanne’s storyline all over every cable network right now. I’m watching it as we speak. Sure there will most likely be a comment from someone at abc or Becca but IMO won’t truly be addressed until he’s off the show, which isn’t until the finale. That’s my take. Could totally surprise me and People will run with his statement tomorrow.

I really don't care about Garrett's political inclinations. I care about how he expresses them. And he publicly expresses them in a way that is disrespectful and demeaning.

Now ABC may take action, but my guess is that they won't. So it will be for Becca to figure out.

As for me, from what I've seen so far, I'm not his fan. I don't know how that will affect how I view the season. There seems to be some good guys in the group, so I will keep my eye on them.

Oh, I don't think it's ever going to get "fully" addressed. IMO, we'll get a BS, publicist written apology within the week and explanation and Garrett/ Becca will echo it whenever they get asked about it at AFR and post-finale interviews. And we'll get a comment from Chris Harrison and Robert Mills how they'll definitely get better at screening for secret racists, while giving us Hitler Lite next season. And this beautiful cycle continues!

I totally disagree that likes aren’t as bad as coming out and stating something. It’s snowballing on something, allowing the hatred to gather momentum and showing support for something vile... while still being a coward and hiding because “at least you aren’t the one saying it.”

Roseanne Barr disgusts me, frankly. But at least she had the balls to actually say what she thought, damn the consequences, and she didn’t hide from her beliefs (as horrid as they are.) She took a gross stand for what she grossly believes in. My bet is someone like Garrett has very similar views to Roseanne. But he can hide like a coward under the excuse he’s “just liking something, he didn’t actually say it, after all.”

So wonder if he thinks he’ll be able to change Becca and she’s just a lost, confused girl or what? What an interesting couple imo.
