@sosleepy completely agree. They are as bad. That’s why I was careful to use the word “different”. The perceptions are very different and why abc can’t get away with letting the Roseanne thing go for more than a few hours and they’ve been silent on garrett’s Likes for days.

I just do a simple exercise and think to myself, under any circumstances would I like any of those posts that Garrett liked? Even as a joke? And the answer is always no. Let alone follow the account - which indicates he wanted to actively keep engaging with those kind of posts. :\\\

Yeah.. I also wonder. I mean, Becca is the girl who has an IG pic flipping off the pres. I mean, that’s balls too, to keep that open in the public. In this way, these two are similar, actually. In a land of Bachelor alums who pretend politics don’t exist at all, and only talk about surface level stuff 100% of the time so as to promote Tummy Tea, here we have these two. **edited**

I think we have strong evidence these two are on polar opposite ends. I also believe both are very political to follow and like what they do, and post what they have. Who will be the one to bend? Someone is going to have to bend at least a little if these two (clearly political, imo) individuals want to cohabitate for the next 50 years.

Roseanne Barr disgusts me, frankly. But at least she had the balls to actually say what she thought, damn the consequences, and she didn’t hide from her beliefs (as horrid as they are.) She took a gross stand for what she grossly believes in. My bet is someone like Garrett has very similar views to Roseanne. But he can hide like a coward under the excuse he’s “just liking something, he didn’t actually say it, after all.”

I think everyone should check their social media usage. Because while you may not have instigated the hate messaging, your low key and lazy support of it emboldens those who wish to harness it. And it grows and grows.

I guess bottom line, Becca loves the guy (or thinks she does). And love does messed up things to you, maybe enough to bend your standards and compromise some beliefs.

I’m not in love with Garrett , so I’m gonna go ahead and not compromise *my* standards just to support a reality star. Even if I loved that reality star and was excited for her journey. It’s just no longer worth it to me.

I don't think Garrett will try to change Becca at all.  If anything, what has happened this week will change him, and for the better.

That’s the only thing that salvages this couple for me. For Garrett to get on the apology train and tell us all about his wonderful, feminist (not fat ) fiancé, and how she and this show have changed his outlook on life!  

Fat chance, but if it were to happen, I might hop in their fan thread now and again.

I hope so! But it will only happen if he’s open to it and not set on his beliefs. It’s possible living in the house with guys from different backgrounds helped him some as well.

Idk. Usually men who think like Garrett’s “likes” tend to believe a woman with ideas is simply adorable and nothing more from what I’ve observed. I guess we’ll see. Interesting in any case.

I’m in the camp that if anyone changes, it’ll be Garrett. I don’t think he is nearly as manipulative or tough as people think he is.

My hopes are for an apology, introspection, and personal growth for G. I don’t think change happens at once (an apology is just a bandaid) but can happen over time.

I kind of wonder how truly political they are. Part of me thinks that they both just subscribe to the cool political beliefs in their individual family and friend groups. But, has Becca have truly spoken out about an unpopular issue the way Rachel and OG Lauren B have? I don't think so (I might be wrong). I think that if these issues were really that important to her, she wouldn't have picked a guy like Garrett. IMO.

If not by that note, i would think this is such a flowery praise for her "puzzle's misisng piece"..ehh...(cue: the Title). I expect for more rainbow-unicorn-ish article from her over episode 4 and 7 when she had the dates with G. Way to re-paint her " new Renaissance Man" persona post IG fiasco. Meh. Not digging it LOL.
