No pity for Arie, he tried to do this gig two times before this. He knew that TPTB lie and mislead. He still wanted to be the bachelor. Not impressed. I said the same for Nick too, so this isn't me hating on Arie alone. JMO.

This goes for anyone on the show: the good, bad and ugly. Nothing new. JMO

Oh, god. Hopefully he wasn't that big of an idiot to believe that. I mean, I literally can't imagine anyone with their head on straight thinking that the show would give Lauren the lead. IMO.
Maybe not the lead but possibly BIP? Probably not. She is too quiet and reserved for good TV. JMO
A. yes, Arie is an idiot. Def not the sharpest tool in the shed
B. I never thought the show would seriously consider Molly either, but Jason fell for that one. Molly was every bit as awkward and reserved on camera as Lauren was.
See, I think Molly would have been not so great myself, but I can at least buy that they would consider her. She was more monotone and didn't appear quite as warm, but she wasn't a mute. We've seen from her podcasts and radio shows that she's actually a great conversationalist and she has a dominant, assertive personality. She would have been more of a OG Lauren B or Danielle M type than the extroverted, fun type they usually have, but she could have done it. Lauren B on a whole new level that I've never seen. Arie has now said multiple times that Lauren's quiet and shy. We've gotten ITMs and interviews from girls saying that they don't think she's the type to stand up to a guy. I just don't see any world in which she could carry the lead.
Also, he talked to her on January 1st! So if he wanted to know if she would choose the Bachelorette over him, he could have just asked her! And if she was going to give him up for the lead, maybe it wasn't this soulmate type of connection that they're the telling the world it is. IMO.

I was never a big fan of Nick, but the guy did not play ping pong using the women, and he was pretty straight forward through out all his appearances on the show.stuckinsc wrote:No pity for Arie, he tried to do this gig two times before this. I am not comparing them in treatment of women, rather they both played TPTBs game repeatedly to be the bachelor, even after repeatedly being misued by TPTB. So whatever they got from TPTB as lead they deserved.
I am no longer a Nick fan and really don't know anything of his behavior with women, except for those he has romanced on TPTB programs.
All is JMO.

I don't feel sorry for any of them. The only thing I think of at times, is how MF and company are able to manipulate people for the benefit of his show and ratings and how contestants fall in that trap. That to me is the sad part. They are having a hay day with the SM tweets and advertisements. It's all coming together for them. IMO The contestants all agree to go on the show. They are all subjected to the same terms and conditions. They all cry like babies when they get eliminated, even the early ones, most have something to say about their edit, they are quick to trash the lead and get as many followers as possible to carry on their 15 minutes.
Am I suppose to feel bad for Melissa because she was originally the F1 then became F2, even though she IMO contributed to the aftermath of what Jason went through?
Am I suppose to fee sorry for Tia who was out at F4? I don't even remember, who was so in love with Arie and so heartbroken, obviously auditioning for the 'ette role?
The enjoyment for me is sleuthing, trying to figure out how their twisted minds work, and hopefully a happy couple. For me, they all need to deal with the cards they've been dealt with. IMO They all need to own up to their actions, not just the lead which in many cases, they are the only ones that are blamed.

I never took Lauren seriously as a potential Bachelorette. She is simply too reserved. Even without the switch-a-roo, Becca, Tia, or Kendall all would have been solid picks. I even liked a number of the women outside of the F4. I still think Bekah might possibly get the job in a few years.
So, what do you think the chances are that Lauren and Arie eventually get married? I'm thinking 20%. Or is that too generous?

i would say very generous and they would be lucky to be still together now.....but on second thoughts after all this if Arie doesn't go through with Lauren he probably would loose his sponsors and i can't see to many girls wanting him so maybe 20% is pretty accurate...

Did she live with her ex? If Not she’s going to have to adjust to that. Hope Arie bought new sheets at the very least. Heck, new mattress for that reason . Clear out all the memories of girlfriends past. It’s the girlfriends of the future that’s a big Q. Hope Arie’s first shot at monogamy goes well. Jmo

I would be shocked if they make it to the premiere of the next 'ette season tbhAmethyst wrote:I never took Lauren seriously as a potential Bachelorette. She is simply too reserved.
