It’s hard to give someone the benefit of doubt when you’ve seen them saying 'I choose you today and I choose you everyday.... and I love you so much..." to another woman only weeks before proposing to someone else (if true). There’s of course going to be comparisons between them and Jason & Molly but I don’t know about that. TWT

For a little while I think they would have stayed together. Longer term definitely not. Arie went into this looking for that certain "feeling that he hadn't felt for a long time" (probably last time it was for Emily). He didn't have that with Becca so sooner or later he would have ended up breaking up and looking elsewhere for it. Or looking for it elsewhere and then breaking up ...

Yeah, I don't think Arie and Becca would make it either. He is the "grass is greener" type of guy... at least at this time of his life.

I'll bet it will sound something like this.
J: The love that I had with her was just different from what I really wanted forever in the end. I guess in a way she’s similar to a lot of other girls I’ve dated in my life…. It was just something I was so used to and something I always thought I wanted, when realistically, there’s probably a reason why my past relationships haven’t worked out. What I really needed was somebody different and it was Molly.

Agree that much of it would depend on Arie, but can't agree on Becca not backing down if she isn't treated right. She put up with poor treatment for 7 years and she did all the work to keep the crappy relationship going for 7 years, according to her. It's great that after having that loser BF shown to the world, that she took a stand on Twitter IMO. However viewers can only expect that Lauren doesn't back down when she's not treated right - hence the broken engagement.umngirl wrote:pbmax wrote:If there hadn't been a switch and he was still with Becca, would they have made it. Personally, I think it would’ve depended on Arie’s willingness to work on a relationship outside of the show. I believe Becca would have put in the effort and but also would not have backed down when she felt she wasn’t being treated right. I’m not sure Arie is really at the point that he wants to work on a relationship. I think when he gets bored or the women starts to question him he breaks up with them. I think Becca would have questioned him and wanted to work on things more than he would have. JMO
Arie seems to have gotten bored with Becca in record time IMO. I wonder if Becca will become the next .

Isn’t that exactly what he did? The real question, IMO, is if Lauren is truly his mythical “one” or if he will be looking again within 2018.Lucas15 wrote:pbmax wrote:If there hadn't been a switch and he was still with Becca, would they have made it. Just curious.

LOL - to be honest I wasn't making that connection when I wrote the post but yes - that is exactly what he did.
As to the future? Of course I don't think anyone can predict that (but if some one can, PM me the Powerball numbers for next week). That said, if Arie is looking for that karmic connection and his choice is also, and they see that in each other then no - he won't go looking for it again. Burgers are nice but not when a man has steak at home.

I keep reverting back to Arie being 36. He's not going to want to keep playing the field forever, Imho. Will he be a 50 year-old man out and about cruising for hot chicks? That said, if Arie were only 26, then I would say that maybe he isn't ready to settle down, but at 36 if you want a family, the time is now.

IMO, if there were no switch or no other woman involved, I can not see Becca and Arie being together.
Arie is used to a far different life than Becca is. She is solid, he is gaseous.

I feel the same . But he did choose her and now we’ll get insight to his character in how he gets out of it. Callously disposing of an innocent party while you’re setting up your next main squeeze is quite low . It reminds me of Courtney saying by the next day after an argument with Arie, he flew another girl in to a concert and told her it’s not a good idea if Courtney came but he couldn’t resist photo ops posted on SM. I think he and Mr Ben might be compete for a second try to find love on TB next season (yes snarky me). Or maybe not .

Honestly, I dated a man who was 48 years old and much like Arie. He was an attractive man still and even with the woman he called the love of his life, he still cheated. I think some people just do not have the ability to settle down and be faithful. Is this Arie? I don't know, but since he hasn't managed monogamy before, I don't know that age is the magical answer. There is a difference between men who are serial daters and men who cheat. Maybe Arie met his one with Lauren or maybe Lauren was the easy out from his not magical choice of Becca. JMO.
