That's what he wants viewers to think because he wants a proposal IMHO or a wedding. As we have seen over the years, the last thing they show us is a happy love story and everyone rides off in the sunset.

Even when the season is successful, with a happy couple, there is crazy twisted drama where a lot of the focus is taken away from the couple. We have heard past leads say they wished they showed more of their F1.  Arie's season is no different IMHO.  I can see them flipping through the storybooks files,  over the years, ahh yes it's time for a Mesnick. JMO's.

To augment your point, GA, in my opinion the storyboard - at least as we suspect it to be - brings Arie full circle - and perhaps provides him with a corrective emotional experience (although I concur with Kasha that not for a minute do I believe the producers could care less about the latter). From what I have always understood Emily's season could have easily been Mesnick 2.0. Indeed, I think that Arie fully expected it to be. Correct me if someone knows differently, but I heard rumors that there was a lot more communication between Arie and Emily post-season that has been made public and that Emily may have even had led Arie to believe that she was going to pull the switcharoo at the ATFR. So here we are again with Arie pursuing his love post bubble except this time he gets his girl.

May be, but the bigger question is, in the end, will he want to keep his girl, and will she want to keep him? Just a thought off the top of my head.

I don’t think Arie and Emily had any communication between her eliminating him and the ATFR. I think Jef even contacted Arie after he left his journal for Emily to basically say back off. I think the rumors go that Arie and Emily were texting once her and Jef were close to a breakup and then after the breakup.

That was sort of weird for me to watch. For one thing I watched Arie's face when Becca's ex told him she was the love of his life and he wanted to marry her; what I was looking to see was to what extent his expression matched the one he had when Lauren told him she wasn't sure she could go on. And ... IMO it wasn't even close - barely any change in expression as those words were said. Then when Arie says "If Becca were to leave I'd just be crushed" - all the while he's saying that he's shaking his head "no". I normally interpret someone doing that as not really believing what they are saying.

I guess I say "weird" because I was looking for some evidence that the returning ex sparked some sort of "possessive" feelings from Arie - something that might have made him think he didn't want to let Becca go, and was sort of expecting that. I didn't get that impression though.

Emily's texting Arie when she and Jef broke up was talked about quite a bit, as was her texting Matt Leinhardt. Since Arie is presenting that Emily was his great love, so why did he not pursue Emily when she reached out to him then? Could it be Arie's words about loving Emily know are a little overblown as well? JMO.

The fantasy suite thing isn’t a rumor. Sean and I think Emily both mentioned it in their books. She took all 3 guys to the fantasy suite. Sean didn’t stay overnight. Jef and Arie both did.

I still think Arie wanted to "win" with Becca and his ego kicked in. I also think that Arie would have done a switcheroo regardless of the girl especially given his ex called it that Arie's biggest challenge would be picking just one girl (she knows Arie better than I do and she was correct imo).

As of now, given Arie's past behavior seeming to match present behavior, I don't see Arie as Jason but more like Blake who pulled a switcheroo and had a reputation of being a player like Arie has. Arie will have to prove himself as genuine to convince me otherwise.

Isn't this the same question many long time couples ask themselves all the time?    IMO that's part of real life. They'll work it out. IMO

The procedure in which the switch was made. It isn’t the textbook Mesnick imo. . It should be renamed the Arie. Imo.

Regarding Becca’s Ex and the look on Arie’s face, it seems more like comparing apples to oranges. Lauren is talking directly to Arie when he emotes that face. When talking perhaps man to man with Becca’s Ex, why would Arie have a forlorn look? For the most part it’s out of his control until Becca addresses her ex personally . Jmo
