Based on the interviews and the tell all book of Courtney Robertson, IMO she would be the perfect choice for Arie.

She after all was called "my dream babe" by Arie and up to 2016 they were still hooking up (according to Courtney) She's also very understanding about his casanova ways. When he dumped her cause she was dilly dallying for 24 hours, he already flown another woman to be his date and she was not bitter about it.

If I am a mother of someone joining the Bachelor for Peter originally I would probably advice her not to take Arie seriously and just audition for the Bachelorette.

Whoever Arie chooses on the Bachelor and after, will always be up against a Courtney Robertson IMO, because Arie never loses her number. He called her when he was about to get the Bachelor gig but not the Sidney girl that he was seeing for a year. Courtney is always 'winning', she'll probably be invited by TBTP as a guest as an "Arie expert"

I think RS has a "hate on" for most of the men involved in the franchise.  IMO he starts from a position of not liking/mocking and except in rare cases, will only change his tune if someone kisses his azz.  Probably stems from jealousy, since most of the guys are much better looking and get a lot more women than he does.

Arie might sincerely think he is ready to settle down, but that doesn't mean he will anytime soon.  Brad Womack anyone?  I think his expectations for what marriage demands and what a spouse should be might be skewed.  Doubt he'll be any more successful figuring things out than Nick was (so now Nick was never serious about getting married?  I thought he was, per his fans ).

IMO, what you're describing is someone who has been a friend with benefits for years. IMO Men who have been single for the past 15 years often have them, almost never marry them and the smart girls know who they are. Men are amazing in their ability to compartmentalize so, this friendship tells us nothing about how a woman he actually falls in love with would be treated. IMO, Courtney would have nothing to contribute to that discussion because she never got out of the friend zone. I think only Emily would know what it's like when Arie loves you and even so, there is a BIG difference between a 30 year old man and a 36 year old voluntarily retired player's love. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt. I'm assuming he's tired of mediocre relationships and friends with benefits and ready to share his life, like he said. JMO

Another Bachelor Alum aside from Courtney R. that would be perfect for Arie would be Amanda Stanton. I thought he will be attracted to her and I was right.

Meanwhile, both Robertson and Luyendyk are watching Ben Higgins' current season of The Bachelor. Robertson thinks Becca would make the best Bachelorette, while Luyendyk says that Amanda has caught his eye.

"I have a soft spot for single moms," he admits, calling Amanda "very beautiful."

Yes, but that was then, and the Duh has been around the block a couple of times since then. Her star may have dimmed in his eyes after all the drama. imo.

The ability to compartmentalize is what  says ex. Pres Clinton got him in trouble  .  According to hundreds of his  interviews his ability to compartmentalize shuts his conscience as he commits various sexual betrayals.   Ability to compartmentalize is a coping technique to mute someone's conscience and for a habitual cheater, this is not a skill to be proud of.  (I'm speaking generally and this is not about Arie or whoever)

Although it is difficult to assume that Arie is really the dog he was pictured to be by the media and his exes but it's also difficult to assume that he already is a "retired player" as he claims to be.    As a parent for example you look for the  recent history of a man who is wooing your daughter.  If you are a responsible mom, you would value integrity and ability of a man to be faithful to your daughter,   not his wealth nor ability to kiss against walls.

But this is just TV.  I will be more sold if he's really doing this to have a tv show rather than convincing himself and others that he's  ready for a family  if he is not.   He should be at least honest to himself.

Going by Amanda's Twitter and Twitter likes, she wishes she was on Arie's season and also wants to be the next bachelorette  

Amanda better not be on Arie's season. She needs to stay off my TV, spend less time on SM and more with her kids

With that said, I think Amanda is totally his type so I can see him picking an "Amanda".
