He would have always have had the option IMO to take someone like Michael from Sam Frosts season to F2. JMHO

I thought this also, but really, who among the remaining girls is as unappealing as Michael was? The remaining girls seem, for the most part, to be genuinely lovely. And for that reason I think he'll seem like a total hypocrite for whoever it is that ends up as F2. There is no way he comes out of this looking like he hasn't lead anyone on, it's just the nature of the show IMO.

I was just rewatching Matty's mid season interview in Fitzy and Wippa. I don't know what to think of Matty's gulp that he does. I know it was commented here that it was a "tell" but I'm not sure how to interpret it. In the interview he gulps 3 times. Once when they compare Elise to Laura, once when they compare Florence to Laura and once when they compare Lisa to Laura. The only thing really obvious is that he looks down when he speaks about Elise. I don't know what the looking down signifies but I think the best way to know what it means is to look back at his interviews before he was announced as F2 on GL's season.

I always thought that looking down was a sign of lying but I just did some Googling and it's often linked to feeling guilty.  

Constantly looking down signals "Submissive". It could also be that this person feels guilty, not wanting to face you. Or general disinterest. Usually not a good sign.

Yeah just did some more reading - touching your nose and covering your mouth also = lying.  Better watch for that too.

Matty does that a lot (touches his face and covers his mouth).

OMG, is this what sleuthing is?

I think the one of the most interesting things in the Fitzy and Wippa segment is the person in the reflection of the glass over Mattys right shoulder. It appears as though when they take the picture of Elise and Laura down that they were flapping their hands about. Almost like a sign. It could be completely coincidental but I believe later in the segment this is where Matty states his publicist is standing.

I have finally watched Laura's second date and I still feel the feels with these two more so than any other girls. Matty IMO has fallen hard for Laura. I found it interesting how he seems to chase her and prod her to open up. IMO He has not done this to any other girl? When Laura said something along the line of she's only guarded because he is not hers and she can't give him her all and vice versa and she is afraid of being disappointed, Matty looked down and away like he was so sad then she goes on to say something like I'm not guarded because I don't feel like this is amazing or not real because it is .... he was like a kid in a candy store Matty seemed relieved to hear that she does like him and couldn't contain himself. Matty then did his nervous laugh and Laura picks up on it! Stating why are you laughing these two are so similar it's frightening! I know a lot of you do not see the love story but I continue to see it and am enjoying it. Again if in the end he chooses Elise it will be the biggest slow burn I have ever seen on this franchise which is great but weird. AJMHO

On another note I can't shake it off to think that they are starting to build Laura's story quite as similar as they did with Olena. The whole she has her walls up reminds me of Olena. Only last time Richie planed to take Olena as his F2 and he failed because Olena was smarter than that but this time the story arc with being not entirely open is going to be unfold for Laura as the F2. They are whispering her story to the viewers so after the finale only a minority is going to be unpleased with Matty's choice. IMO

Then the fear boards turn up to test her?? See if she can be vulnerable. To prove to everyone she can be the person matty wants???

I found that group date pretty revealing as well. IMO Laura was the only girl that made her fear about Matty? All the other girls or the girls they showed, the fears seemed to be about past experiences or what they want? But Laura was all about Matty and again to me it looks like it's all about them as a couple and what they need to overcome however with others it just felt a little like it was about the girl only.. if that makes sense!?
