This evening is just dragging out. It feels like the show has been going on for hours and we still have 40 minutes to go.

We are back in some nautical bar.

Thanks for an AMAZING date and she wants to tell him she is falling in love.

He loves that she is being herself throughout this. She was in collage for 7 years with a doctorate for a degree in physical therapy. It allows her to work anywhere because she doesn't see herself staying in Little Rock.

He had an epiphany at his brothers wedding as he saw all his friends settling down and he has lost friends in racing. She has a strong faith and he asks if she could marry someone who isn't in her faith. She usually picks guys who she wants to fix....maybe that is why you are gravitating to Arie? She is getting emotional that she thinks that this is an emotional thing and she is falling in love. You are? Stereotypical make out. You know, I am getting tired of his moves. They just feel so rehearsed. I am beginning to appreciate the guys who suck at this.

More making out. He feels so confident. Feels more confident with her than any other woman. Make out against a post. She has been waiting for him to push her against something??? Please. Pathetic.

Cocktail time and more bitching about irrational Krystal from Ashley and the girls.

She wasn't hiding in her room yesterday, she was investing in herself and more lectures to the other women about they were able to have a hard conversation and they will see what happens. She could see her life in Scottsdale. The silence is deafening.

Kendall pulls him away and wants to be a breath of fresh air. She arranged a game...her question book....100 questions. Pick a number. Would be eat a dead person? Only if it was life and death. She would try it. I'm sure this will be helpful for their relationship.

Girls gossiping about Krystal and she is of course listening. Haters gonna hate. She is back and lecturing again....blah, blah, blah. She wants to talk to them privately, but in a group she feels attacked. They looked thrilled.

Kendall pulls her aside. Of course she gets nowhere. More bullsh*t. They are sick of her saying she feels hurt. Now Tia comes and tells her she is not owning her behaviour. They leave and then Becca comes out and asks her why she is still here....more ominous music...as Krystal looks on blankly. I am so tired of this. I see Krystal and Becca getting a 2:1.

Jacqueline and Arie are making out. They have great chemistry.....according to Arie. Who doesn't he have chemistry with?

Back to Becca going at Krystal....how everything is about you. You go Becca!!! And she has had enough and walks off.

Krystal is tired of lowering herself to the other girls level. She is done...and throws figurative glitter. Please. She wants to have a conversation with Arie and is comfortable in that she will get a rose. He says she is further along than the other women because she knows him better that anyone else. They have taken two steps back. She is going on about how this date brought up childhood emotions. She literally grew up in a bowling alley and her mom never kept her promises. He is not buying this, even though he is BSing her. We need to learn from this. She is trying to be cute and say this is their first fight and he says it could be their last.

She thinks that Arie has been cold to her. She is being compassionate with him and she hopes he can be compassionate to her. Blah.

Next week they are in Paris....loved it there. He takes Marquel on a river boat down the Seine. He looks bored. Ooops. I guess it wasn't her. She has been eliminated at the RC.

RC...Raining. Girls are hoping Krystal goes home. They will be annoyed if she stays.

CH chat. Questions about some and building with others. More about Krystal calling his character in question.

Krystal...showed him so many shades of herself that she would be hurt if he doesn't pick her.

He sees where things are going. Hard decisions. Hopes they trust his judgement. Means he will p*ss them off by keeping Krystal.

Last rose...as if there is any question....Krystal. If she gets a rose it shows her that Arie is ready for a struggle and if he doesn't it shows that he is taking the easy way out. Sure it does. You are an idiot. She will so be on BIP ... unfortunately.

Oh the ladies are p*ssed. Baby Becs is trying to keep from exploding. Everyone else deserves to be here.

Smug Krystal thinks some things are worth fighting for. If they thought she was a threat before
then watch out ladies as she waves around her rose.

In Paris...at the Moulin Rouge. Lauren on a date. Jaqueline thinks they are behind other relationships. Krystal is telling Arie to apologize so they can go forward??? Dreamer. You would have been long gone if producers weren't making him keep you for this idiotic drama.

Someone leaves during their date...I'm thinking Jacqueline since they showed the rose on the table. I'm assuming they had a single date.

Outtake at the end, some older women bowling and one is asking Arie who are the best kissers. He laughs and says a man doesn't kiss and tell. Another asks what he thinks about the FS? Is it a good thing? He doesn't really answer and she says it doesn't have to be physical. They ask him if he is a good bowler...does he hold his ball properly? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. She is naughty. I'm sure you are too Arie.

Well based on tonight I have no idea who he will pick.

Baby Becca has her age and she is involved in too much drama.
Obviously he will not pick Krystal.
I don't think he will pick Chelsea either. The mystery is gone.
Kendall...too weird.
Sienne...too normal and way too good for him.
Lauren is also getting too involved in the drama. Showing herself as emotional and yet holding back and not opening up enough.
I guess Becca is still possible, but honestly I just don't see it with them. He did take her to his hotel room and everything seemed to go well and while she was involved somewhat in the drama, not as much as the others. So I guess based on this process of elimination I would still go with her as F1, but I really don't see it or feel it. I think he should end up single.

If  I have forgotten anyone left...Jacqueline...I guess that means they are MOT.

Despite all the drama, what a boring episode. It dragged on forever.

Two things:
1. Did any of the women seem to make any forward movement?
2. It sounds like things are a mess right now.

Is Krystal this season's Tierra? Creating a huge amount of drama since the lead is boring and not set on his F1 yet?

Looking forward to the episode to see if I can make any sense of things.

I don't know if it's because I have been in various degrees of illness since the start of his season, but this is an absolutely horrible season to me. He is so dull and monotone and I am not even finding him hot anymore. Is it just me or does he look shiny and plastic all the time? I wonder if he had some botox before the start of the season?

Dullsville. The fake drama is boring and I don't see him into anyone. I'm pretty sure he will pick someone because he and CH keep harping on how ready he is for a family, but I can't see it lasting. It will be for the show, not because he truly found anyone....even just to date post show.

Thank you. I'm glad my venting is fun for others. It keeps me somewhat entertained.

To answer your question...I didn't see anyone making any forward movement in terms of building a relationship. They showed a lot more of Lauren tonight, so I'm thinking she is going further than I originally thought. Well, I didn't think she would make it this far based on her arrival grouped with the other Laurens, but apparently she does. Plus she had that weird music when she got her group date rose over Becca. So something will be going on there I think. Maybe they will be getting into it in the future since she was shown somewhat bitchy....once the drama with Krystal has run it's course?

There was also more Kendall, but again, I didn't exactly see it as moving the relationship forward. I'm thinking she goes farther than I though as well. Definitely not F1 because she seems to be the weird/comedic girl, but maybe top 4.

We saw hardly anything with Jenna, Sienna or Jaqueline. I'm confident that they are MOT. So that leaves the Beccas, Lauren, Kendall, and Chelsea for the top spots. I don't think baby Becca will last too long after Krystal goes, so I'm now starting to think she won't have a HTD.

Oh, I totally forgot about Tia which to me means it won't be her. Too desperate to say ILY and zero chemistry so not F1...but she is an easy one to take to F4 because of lack of drama so I will put her F4 or F3....probably F4 just because of the lack of chemistry so gone before FDs.

I also think Chelsea is not going to make it much farther. Easy to dump her before HTDs saying he doesn't want to lead her on and introduce someone to her son when he knows it won't work. She has sacrificed enough, blah, blah, blah.

So I guess based on a process of elimination and editing...not any actual interest on Arie's part, I have to go with:

Tia...F4
Kendall...F3
Lauren...F2
Becca...F1


....although I guess that could still change based on the fact that I just don't see any interest in any of them from him. Who knows, maybe he is like Dr. Travis and makes a deal with one of them and she becomes F1 because she is easy to dump post show? Either way, I don't foresee a happy ending this season...no matter how romantic the final proposal ends up being. I predict she will be toast quickly!

So I went back and reread what I posted last night. I'll stand by my F4...for now.

One thing that struck me watching and rereading back was how often the picking the wrong person was brought up. It seemed kind of strange to harp on that as much as it was. Knowing the producers as much as I do, that was left in for a reason. Is the couple already done? or does he almost pick the wrong person? Krystal??? I don't think he is into her anymore and I think he is now keeping her because tptb want him to, but maybe she cons him?...but, I just can't believe that. Maybe he regrets letting baby Becca go?....even though by now, I don't see him into her either...other than the obvious physical chemistry which I think he is just having fun with at this point. 

Another thing was the music. I'm not one to normally pick up on that or use it for clues, but at one point, when he was with Lauren and he was talking about being worried he picks the wrong person there was some ominous music. So again, does he pick the wrong person? Almost pick the wrong person? Are they done already? Does he pull a Mesnick?

I don't know WTH is going on any more. Maybe it's just my foggy brain and I'm loopy. I should just stick with my first instinct...he isn't really into anyone and ends up alone. Of course, on this show, that is usually what happens anyway...even if they declare their undying love and propose!

Ep. 5- More camera pans this time to Lauren's reactions

TP seem to keep knocking us over the head with Arie being worried about Bekah and I don't know what to make of that.
If things don't work out with baby Beks, I don't know who I would put at F1 other than Lauren right now since that's the girl Arie seems to be chasing. But she is not really getting an F1 edit. But she did get a kiss on the cheek and forehead & guitar music during SQT ep. 3 GD. It seems like her edit changed from the beginning to the middle, which is odd.

Becca and Arie seemed really comfortable during SQT in his room. But she asked him for a hug on the GD. I'm still not seeing something that special with these two. But maybe TP aren't showing us their more magic moments? Intentional maybe.

There has been an emphasis this ep of Arie's fears about choosing the wrong person at the end...Is this typical editing for every Bachelor lead? I don't remember. I suppose every lead has this fear expressed  to a degree but some are less fearful than others.

I'm sure TP would've loved to put Krystal & baby Beks on the 2:1 together but didn't because 1) Beks just had a date in Tahoe 2) she is still in F1 contention. And since I feel like Chelsea, Jacqueline, Seinne are looking more like MOTs, that leaves Becca, Lauren, or Kendall to go on the 2:1 with Krystal.

I feel like that episode was the first of the season. In CH's blog, he states Arie's conflict for this season: What other decisions has he made along the way that maybe weren’t the best? These questions will continue to haunt him.

This episode seemed to suggest that his early decisions and even relationships are not necessarily what he wants now. The entire episode seemed to shift towards Lauren B., Kendall, and some of Becca. During Arie's time with Bekah, it sounded like remorse in his voice: for all the fun that he has with her she's not the one for him. I wonder if the first four episodes highlighted Bekah so much because she was the one at some point.

Either way, it seems like Arie realizes that he needs to shift gears (pun unintended!) into finding a more suitable partner for after the show. He said that repeatedly. He and Lauren were shown laying a foundation/making up for lost time during their SQT.

I'm starting to think that Becca is F2 because she's the narrator. At episode 5, I'm not seeing enough between them to convince me that she's F1. There's no conflict. Kendall is emerging as more of a contender than Becca, IMO, though I feel like her conversation with him about things burning fast portends their end in some way. She's not the one with the ex.

As for Tia, it was too fast to say ILY. It's another situation of them wanting to round out the F4 when Arie's original picks, IMO, started to fizzle and burn out. I would wager to guess that Bekah, Krystal, and Chelsea were in his original F4 and then things faded for him.

Though I think that we have this discussion every season, I am in agreement with others who think that something weird might happen. The show has created this kind of doubt mid-season every season that I can remember, but the repeating mantra of Arie being confused/scared of choosing the wrong person seems louder this season, esp. when coupled with Chris' blog.

A sidenote about Krystal: I understand that people can't tolerate her. Her story highlights the manipulative and exploitative nature of this show. The show knows Krystal's psych profile; they are pushing her buttons and triggering her abandonment issues big time. We only see a snippet of her reactions, but she's spending days either being badgered with questions about the way she feels about lack of interaction with and attention from Arie; I also heard one of the girls say that she'd been isolated, perhaps by choice, from them for a day and a half. She's on high alert and knows that the relationship with Arie is falling apart. His reaction to her surprised me some, particularly his eyeroll with the other women about Krystal. His tone when speaking to her also indicated that he was annoyed with her and withdrawing. They are now in a power struggle, which won't end well. I really hate watching a woman being treated like this even if she brought it on herself.
