 I still think Laura is F1 but whatevs... I will go down with this Elise ship....

Elise's dad is the Captain of the ship per Elise's tweet (I posted upthread here) because #whoEls but CaptainPhil can steer all the Phil-ings on this ship!

Honestly, I can't imagine what Cap'n Phil will be phil-ing if his daughter is F2 and he told Matty not to take advantage of her for a storyline or show! :shocked!:

And to think Cap'n Phil probs told Matty this twice since he likely saw him again for HTDs

YES! I agree with you. There is no typical F1 pattern. Every season had something different in regards F1 edit. In the season with Sam W. there was Heather and later Lana as F2 and in the end there was a happy end with him choosing a single mum from Perth. In the season with Richie we had Olena and Nikki and an Alex as F1 with her crazy edit. The edit's for F1 are changing every season they are editing the F1 different. This season it's Laura and Tara with Elise being F1 and a Cinderella story. At that point I am not even sure if Laura is even F2 because I can see her being F3. IMO

Well imo Jen will either throw Laura for saying she doesn't want kids or Lisa for saying Matty reminds her of her brother?? IDK I'm just going by what Jen has mentioned in mags recently

On the ad I saw he goes and gets Lisa for a chat, so it's probably her. What was Jen's beef with Lisa anyway?

I've been pondering what type of a couple Matty and Laura would be and what Matty and Elise would be. Matty and Laura in my opinion would present very similarly to Georgia and Lee IMO, funny and joking around. Whereas I see the potential for Matty and Elise to be something quite different, quite a romantic couple. I suppose it's up to Matty to follow his heart though.

I do also wonder though there was such a feeling of hurt and sorrow towards Matty being the underdog last season and Matty certainly didn't dismiss these feelings in his public appearances, it does make me think that if he does exactly the same thing and choose Laura as his F1 (and if Elise is set up as a Matty 2.0) isn't he just validating Georgias decision and debunking his own platform? Am I over thinking things?

Jen just a sour puss ! I'd say she knows her times up and producers are probably telling her to go out with a bang just like they probably did to Leah since they are using this throw her under the bus term all the time . IMO the only thing I heard Jen say about Lisa is that Lisa has said Matty is more like a brother to her

JMO but perhaps its why Matty has waited until ep11 to take Elise on a SD? Maybe he sensed she was getting attached, and he wasn't feeling 100% sure of her, so he held off to try and limit her potential heartbreak? Maybe coming from the position he did, he didn't want to drag his F2 through the same? Less dates, means less one sided connection? I dunno, but it could be an explanation for the late date.

RE: the Laura/Matty Georgia/Lee comparison, I completely agree.  I think they'll be quite a "showy" couple and maybe even try to out-do Lee & Georgia on social media.  Also agree the relationship with Elise would be very different - much more real/quiet/private IMO, and this is another reason I don't think it will happen.  I think Matty like the bright lights and will love Laura twinkling on his arm.  In that sense I think they're very well suited.

As for validating Georgia's decision, yep I agree again and made a similar comment previously so if you're overthinking things then so am I!  The way I phrased it was he's going to look "just as bad" as Georgia did if he repeats the same pattern.  So his story will come full circle - he will get his "Lee" - but the IMO more satisfying story of the slow burn victory will go begging.  I'm beginning to doubt we will ever see a slow burn win this show.

@natik Thanks for agreeing with me This edit is so bizarre I'm not trying to make sense of it!

I think you meant episode 10 I actually disagree that Elise was getting attached to him based on what was posted here about the convo Elise had with her dad. I read the comments here like she was being reasonable and wondering why she was still there if he had no connection with her. Like I have said before, he could have dragged a more convincing contestant like Flo or Elora to F2 if the producers want it to be more believable (granted we have not yet seen Elise's SD tomorrow). If Elise is in F2 against Laura, most folks IMO would think Laura takes it out. After the OTT media exposure again for Laura with Matty on F&W earlier, I really believe Laura is the red herring this season a la Heather and Nikki but we shall see

hahah yes I do in fact mean ep10! Dragging a more believable girl to F2 would be devastating for Flo or Elora considering they had early SD and an overnight in Elora's case. What I was meaning was that from Matty's POV to limit F2 heartbreak it would be best to take an "intruder" or someone who is less invested. Short of not giving a girl a SD at all then taking her to F2 (never gonna happen!), delaying SD is the only way to limit a connection IMO. That would be one way to limit the heartbreak for the F2, which Matty might want to do seeing as he has been there done that.
