Bachelor Australia - Season 5 - Matty Johnson - Episode Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* #2

I learned my lesson from the last season. Edit is a tricky thing and I would not put my money on it. Last season they tried to make us believe at an early stage that Nikki is the F1. And Alex got that stage five clinger edit. Beside the edit, as mentioned before, there is a lot that does not add up to Laura being F1. I read comments on SM that viewers feeling like Laura is being shoved down our throats because she is everywhere and was even before the show started.
And I watched several times the previews of season 3,4 and 5. They never show a lot screentime of the F1. Mostly we see a lot of the F3 and the F2 girls. The almost last shot was always with the F3. The last voice over is always F1 and they show the F1 in the preview always in a hot tub or in a bathtub. There are basically only one or two shots of the F1 with the Bachelor during the whole preview where you can see clearly the F1. All those points to Elise and not to Laura.

If Elise gets the F1 music it`s basically game over. IMO

This is so interesting. At episode 11 we have Elora and Tara who already have had second dates so it's not them and that leaves Laura, Elise and Cobie (discounting Flo as she will be episode 12) so who will it be that will leave them reeling? Surely not Laura as they would all be expecting it???

It would make sense if it was Elise, back to back single dates would surely stir up some drama in the mansion.

I can see them reeling if Elise gets a 2nd SD so soon after her Ep 10 SD. So her dark-horse status becomes potential frontrunner status. I mean, something has to happen where Elise gets a ton of time with Matty otherwise no way I'll believe she is in F2.

I agree with both of your posts. At the moment, I'm sure they're super exposing Laura now, only to put her in the back burner while Elise shines, get us all on team Elise, then pick Laura but it was always justified because she was the one from the start. BUT. My final decision will be made with the music. If Elise gets F1 music I'll be so sure it's her. This super hidden edit is quite bizarre. All JMO.

We know none of those 3 are in the F7. So with the 2 RC SC each remaining for Jen and Simone, it's not possible that either of them gets eliminated on Weds's episode is the point I was making and we speculated that Michelle leaves on Thursday....the SCs are not adding up to the normal elimination schedule of 1 girl per episode IMO.

Responding to @merciemes post from SC discussion.
I suspect Michelle leaves on Wednesday Ep9 (the "bombshell" in ep10 doesn't necessarily have to be Michelle walking). Jen and Simone will then leave in either ep10/11. That leaves F7 for the GD in episode 12.

But just to throw a spanner in the works, I also think that there needs to be another episode where 2 girls leave.

I think the schedule of 1 girl per RC for the remaining season is incorrect. I've counted several times, but if 1 girl/RC that would mean ep16 (final ep) ends with 2 girls standing. From your post earlier @mercieme, I have added in some extra wording (in bold) to clarify what I mean

Episode 16 - ep starts with 3 girls, at the end 2 girls remaining 
Episode 15 - ep starts with 4 girls, at the end 3 girls remaining
Episode 14 - ep starts with 5 girls, at the end  4 girls remaining
Episode 13  - ep starts with 6 girls, at the end 5 girls remaining
Episode 12 - ep starts with 7 girls, at the end 6 girls remaining 
Episode 11 - ep starts with 8 girls, at the end 7 girls remaining
Episode 10 - ep starts with 9 girls, at the end 8 girls remaining
Episode 9 - ep starts with 10 girls, at the end 9 girls remaining

Looking at that, 2 girls need to leave in one episode somewhere to ensure that only 1 girl is left standing at the end of ep 16. Have I counted incorrectly?

^^ Yes, there has to be another double elimination/walk out in there somewhere...

@SugarAndSpice.... IA that the only way the SCs make sense is for Michelle to be the one leaving on Weds. So yeah the bombshell on Thursday could be Jen or Simone for all we know.

Also I had posted in the filming thread that 2 girls had to leave in one episode. In order to get to the F7, either Jen and Simone both leave together in one episode or one of them leaves on Thursday and the other is eliminated at the same time as one of the F7's.

And yes you did count correctly. Right now I am leaning towards Jen and Simone leaving on the same episode.

@Sundy, Just going to update below the dates for the F7 girls that should have taken place by Episode 10:

Cobie: 1 SQT (horse riding at polo club)

Elise: 1SQT speculated (post cooking GD with parents) and 1 SD (hockey/yacht)

Elora: 2 SDs (dolphin watching; swimming at Jelly Beans and overnight cottage stay)

Flo: 1 SD (high rise jumping and hand casting)

Laura: 1 SD (boating and drawing) and 1 SQT (Nepean River cruise)

Lisa: 1 SD (Tennis & Swimming at Bach Pad)

Tara: 2 SDs (Biking/Cooking; Morrocan themed party)[/b][/b]

Just based on the number of dates received so far, IMO the ones not likely to be upset and reasons why will be will be:Elise (just received a date in prior Episode 10) Elora (already had 2 dates) and Tara (already had 2 dates) and to a lesser extent Laura (1 SD and one 1ST already).

So by reason of elimination it's got to be between Elise and Laura going on that Episode 12 date IMO....question is which one would bother the girls the most, ITA it would be Elise as that's Matty going on a binge back to back to back (SQT, SD 1, SD2)....unreal.

If it's Elise on that Episode 12 date, I am honestly going to believe as I stated before that the producers had a front runner and dark horse script for this season and Matty just slotted the girls into those roles for them...all jmho.
