I do wonder if these two producers who filed complaints have history with such in reality tv and that caused their knee jerk reactions. I say knee jerk because apparently it sounds like maybe in hindsight they wish they had handled their concerns a little differently.

I do totally understand the handler being upset but at the same time, they have to first hold Corrine accountable and at least try to influence decisions she's making while in Paradise.

IMO I'm sure they wish they handled things differently, because the likelihood of either of them getting jobs in this industry again are slim to none. Especially the one who's name is in the press. Jmo.

This whole controversy is getting so rediculous. So many accounts of how Corinne was totally fine with everything, but very little about why she was a victim. And where in the world did that sliding under water passing out story come from . This thing is wack.

Don't get me wrong, I think it's karma for MF. IMO, basically he decided to leave Nick's journey as TB on the cutting room floor in lieu of making it the Corrine show instead. I'm glad his million dollar revenues went to hell in a hand basket for the summer of 2017. I hope he is still wringing his hands and pulling out what little hair he has left this past week!

I can't shake the feeling that there's something in the footage that puts the show at a disadvantage legally. They cancelled the season. Something is off. IMO.

Reality Steve named the other one in one of his latest columns, so both of their names are out there. I agree that both of them are ruined in this industry now. Corinne could get a lot of money out of all of this, and they will probably both end up with nothing. Reality Steve says that they both wish they could take it back - I really believe that!

I think that the contract that all the contestants sign is the biggest self-defense that TPTB have going for them.  If that description (somebody posted here earlier) is true, then the contestants basically sign away all of their rights. They know that they are going to be filmed 24/7 and TPTB can portray them any way they wish.  It also absolved TPTB from responsibility for any injuries incurred, including that caused by alcohol consumption. IMO the contract basically states that the contestant is responsible for their own safety and if they choose to go on the show they are at the mercy of the editors. IMO.

The one thing I don't know anything about is whether there is some kind of a law that differentiates the filming of nudity or sexually explicit acts within the entertainment field (when the participants know they are being filmed and have signed releases/permission to film). Are there different permits required for different kinds of filming?  I also don't know if there is some kind of law that prohibits that kind of exposure to employees. I don't know if anything was illegal about the filming or if the employees had a valid legal complaint for themselves.

Remind me again, exactly who the two girls filed their complaint with? Was it the parent company? I hope Warner Bros showed up and told MF we're done here and they left MF in a tantrum of kicking and screaming as they walked out with echos of "Send them home" ringing in his ears!

@puppiesandkittens if that's true then why does DeMario and the show want it released?

@puppiesandkittens part of me thinks that too, but I think because of the nature of the claim, the inability to prove what someone remembers, and the questions being raised re: consent, they really had no choice but to shut down production pending the investigation regardless.

Apparently, and CMIIW, DeMario feels releasing it will help exonerate him from accusations of sexual misconduct.  From his point of view, I suppose, whatever happened was consensual.  He has lost his job over this, and while I don't presume to know what kind of person he is, if everything was consensual, than he has not done anything criminal. The morality of it is, of course, another story.  JMHO.

I think the key word and is morality. That word conjures of a 50's version of pearl clutching.
I doubt Corinne would still have her job either if she were a 5th grade teacher, a nurse or in many other fields. She works for her dad for his garage sealant business.

Yeah, and Demario might've already been in hot water thanks to what was shown of him on the Bachelorette. This could've just been the last straw. JMO.

When it comes to their contracts, I figured there would be something there about not being able to sue TPTB, but like mentioned somewhere, not everything included in contracts is actually legal. I mean, if something serious and illegal enough happens, they can't just worm their way out of it because there was some waiver signed.
