I thought Corinne lived and worked in Florida? Here she is walking her dog in LA ... nobody's going to mess with her with that puppy!
I wonder how much more misinformation will be spread before we hear anything close to the truth of what happened in Paradise. It's such a sad situation, with many people's lives adversely affected.
Corinne Olympios is seen for first time since her drunk sexual encounter with DeMario shut down Bachelor In Paradise

She moved to LA a while back. I remember they mentioned it in that interview where she whined about Vanessa texting her.

I'm not really surprised that D lost his job over this. He is "an executive recruiter" per his description. IMO, that seems to be a fairly conventional job which would be affected not only by perceived legal wrong doing, but also perceived moral wrong doing. Companies have reputations to protect, and if they perceive that an employee has not withheld their obligation to represent the company's values, they can cut a person loose. Most companies have morality clauses that would allow them to fire someone for this.
While I have sympathy for anyone falsely accused of a crime (and I do not know if this is the case with D), I also feel that each individual needs to be smart about how he/she lives their lives and what choices they make. As was discussed on this board previously, online shenanigans have consequences. Being a part of a show like this could easily tarnish a person's rep. Some of these contestants do not have what I would consider conventional jobs or professions, and I think it is easier for them to take the risk of appearing on the show. Those with more conservative professions (which typically means more of a time and financial investment to achieve it) are putting way more at risk, IMO. I tend to think that because of this mess (and previous selective editing techniques) more of the conventional people will be scared off from taking the risk of coming on one of these shows. Which then leaves us with more of the others who are willing to take the risk and go for broke to gain their 15 minutes of faming and future schilling opportunities. So, to me it is a downward spiral, and they've been circling the drain for several years now. IMO.

Bachelor in Paradise Scandal: What Role Do Producers Play with Sex, Booze and Bad Behavior?
http://people.com/tv/bachelor-paradise-producers-responsibility-role-intervention/?utm_campaign=peoplemag&utm_source=facebook.com&utm_medium=social&xid=socialflow_facebook_peoplemag
Some interesting info in the article. There are interviews w/former contestants and producers - some who feel the producers look out for them and some who don't. One interesting thing in the article is one of the sources close to production thinks the investigation should be resolved within a week. Also interesting is a quote from another current contestant who feels TPTB let things go too far and should have stepped in sooner to stop things. They went on to say that some people were angry at the show for that.

@MiaHawk IA it amazes me some of them have jobs, considering their SM behaviour.

@MiaHawk Your post about the franchise (or BIP) circling the drain is interesting to ponder. How far are the networks and producers willing to push the morality envelope? Do they have any moral compass at all? Do they solely base their limit on what it seems the audience is willing to ingest? Do we as viewers have a limit and what role should we play in saying 'enough?' Is it merely to tune out, or should we be more proactive, or does the vast majority of viewers just not care about the morality of it all? I've got no answers, just questions.

@Bkay Yes, so many questions. I alluded to this in a post I made a few days ago---what role have I played in this decline? While I do not live my life remotely similarly to what I witness on this TV franchise, am I silently complicit to it because I watch it on my TV? I think that based on how I have lived my life, that if this type of behavior was around me IRL I would remove myself from it, report it, denounce it. I was the quintessential nerd in college, so I have experience with being on the outside looking in and then deciding I no longer wanted to bear witness to something that was not for me. Do I react to it differently because it is on my TV? Do I blur the lines because this show is a weird cross between fact and fiction and I don't know where one ends and the other begins? Don't get me wrong, I do react to it, mostly with disbelief or dislike. So why do I continue to watch? Is it the small snippets of good that justify it in my mind? IDK. Should the viewers take a stand, and if so, how? Questions, questions, more questions!

Re: Bachelor In Paradise - Season 4 - General Discussion - *Sleuthing Spoilers* - 2
@MiaHawk I agree with a lot of this.
For me, I don't feel bad about Demaurio losing his job. I feel bad if he's being falsely accused, that is horrible and I hope he gets cleared. But can we honestly say he wouldn't have lost his job anyway? Because if this hadn't blown up right now, the pool scene would almost certainly have aired in some form.
Let's put the sexual assault allegations aside for a minute. Assuming that is false, Demaurio still went on national tv to: get wasted in the middle of the day, get naked in a pool and engage in heavy petting and fingering (his words) surrounded by people and cameras, then perform oral sex in a pool in broad day light with people around and on camera. And he sort of implies that the only reason they didn't have actual intercourse in these circumstances is only because he was too drunk to get it up. That isn't a great look for a professional man.
I get recruiter calls/emails all the time, and if any of them behaved in the above manner I would not take them seriously. Nor would I even entertain a conversation with them about my own professional advancement/opportunities. So I firmly believe that sexual assault allegations aside, he probably wasn't long for this job.
JMOAA.

I used to have a Nielsen box. I would have felt some responsibility then. But this show has been going off the rocks for some years. I find it interesting that Elan, who celebrated 3 years sobriety, would encourage this show and the contestants to drink in order to piece together a crazy show. I'm disappoint. But I don't worry about watching it because the ratings numbers are pooled from Nielson. Speaking of Elan, he ended his radio silence with a snark IG story mocking Josh Murray. So good. To me that means an end is in sight to #RIPBIP stuff. JMO friends.

From E! News....
Bachelor in Paradise contestant Jasmine Goode says co-star Corinne Olympios not only interacted with DeMario Jackson but also "forced herself on three male cast members when they were unable to consent" on the day of an alleged incident of misconduct, of which the latter woman has said she is a victim.
Production on the ABC reality show was shut down last week. Production company Warner Bros. had said in a statement that it was suspended amid "allegations of misconduct" on the set in Mexico and that the group is "conducting a thorough investigation of these allegations." It did not provide details.
A producer had filed a complaint questioning whether Olympios was able to give consent for a sexual encounter with co-star Jackson. Insiders told E! News that the producer did not witness the alleged incident.
"The day of the incident under investigation, Corinne did not display any change in behavior from what was observed by the cast on her season of The Bachelor," Goode said in an exclusive statement to E! News. "Corinne forced herself on three male cast members, when they were unable to consent, in addition to engaging with DeMario. After the incident everything seemed fine. There was no mention about being hurt. However, when producers tried to cut her off from drinking, she got upset and said, 'Watch, watch what I'm gonna do.'"
"The cast is not encouraged or forced to engage in any behaviors or to drink alcohol," Goode continued. "Producers check in to make sure the cast is comfortable and accommodate to the needs requested."
Olympios' attorney, Marty Singer, told E! News, "Several cast members and producers have come forward confirming the facts disclosed by my client."
"If nothing improper occurred on the set of Bachelor in Paradise, why was the production shut down within two days of production?" he said. "Shutting down production of a television series is almost unheard of. The investigation and subsequent shutting down of the series was initiated based on complaints made by producers on the set of Bachelor in Paradise."

Messy all around reading all what's been happening with this. I agree with others something we don't know is being hidden to be so serious like this! The show knew it would be trouble but not this type of trouble.
