Ben Higgins - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

Mr. Blabber Mouth Higgins needs to keep quiet, IMO.

It just makes me laugh. This is the guy who last week said this break up was a long time coming. A lot of us here noticed that for the past six months or so, they were barely ever together. He wants to talk about restrictions? What restrictions? From what I saw over the last few months, Lauren was a roommate to him that he would see just a few times a month and he wants to talk about his house feeling empty when they were barely in it together for more than a couple of days at a time? Give me a break Ben. JMO

I used to like Ben but the more I see him....the less I like him. When I think of the real Ben...I still visualize his pre season IG pose arms stretched out in a look at me attitude. I realize he meant to convey something else but the more I have seen him the more I see my perception of the I Am Ben...Ben.  I appreciate Ben's devotion to H&H and other philanthropy. However good someone is in one area does not make them good in others. Ben has a lot to learn about marital love IMO. I hope he stays single until he figures it out. And please please please stay off my Franchise TV.

This! I see it the exact same way. IMO that whole arms outstretched thing Ben did was/is nothing but a total humble-brag and Ben being all about MeBen.

My crazed mind has all kinds of wild restrictions made up for Ben. Unfortunately, I am not going to share any of them.

JMO, Ben and Lauren were both living with the restriction of having to keep up the fake relationship until TPTB let them break up. Ben as the former lead, just like Jillian and Ali before him, did a better job keeping up the façade. I don't see Ben's actions any different than either what Jillian and Ali did in the last six months of their time with Ed and Roberto.

I don't think he meant that Lauren restricted him, but TPTB did. JMO.

As someone who was neutral on Ben and Lauren throughout, I have to say - Ben has tanked in my eyes so much with his post breakup behavior.  

How did Lauren put up with this immature man-child (IMO) for 18 months is beyond me. She truly deserves better IMO.

On a delightfully petty note.....I just looked at Ben and Lauren's IG accounts AND Ben has lost 100,000 followers and now has the same amount as Lauren.... 1,400,000. For some reason this makes me smile.

Also noticed that while Ben is hanging out in LA with Chris Harrison, AshleyI and Rachel...... Lauren is hanging with her friends doing normal real life stuff. It is fairly obvious who loves the Fame/Limelight and it's not Lauren. IMO

Sorry but Lauren likes the spotlight too. Several IG's prove that. IMO they both are quilty of faking this relationship. JMO

Lauren is "hanging out" (aka using appearances to make money on Instagram IMO) with Amanda & the twins...they definitely all belong together. I couldn't be happier that Ben is done with her.

I followed Jillian and Ed closely. No way were they phoning it in for the last six months (or half) of their year long relationship. Things started to get obviously sour in May of whatever year that was, then Jillian officially moved out and they announced soon there after like a month later in June.  Jillian was devastated and didn't talk to the media about it at all for quite some time afterwards. She did correspond privately with a few fans.

Personally, I think Ben is looking like a total tool here. So glad he can live without restrictions and responsibility now. He looks and acts just so freaking happy, giddy, all over LA. It's just kind of a slap in the face to Lauren, imo. At least pretend to be affected. At least pretend to lie low for a bit. Every time he opens his mouth, I like him a little less.

ETA: if Ben is truly alluding to his contract for putting restrictions on him and not Lauren, he brought it on himself by signing up for opportunity after opportunity. Like the Disney wedding special. I don't even understand. One last quick money grab?

They both had to agree, so Lauren is at fault too. Also, IMO, Lauren is acting just as happy and doesn't seem to be affected. At least Ben seems sober. IMO, Lauren looks white girl wasted in every insta story her friends have posted this weekend. Her dancing is worse than the Higgi. JMO.

@sweeti810 Hanging with friends as in rollerskating and working out in the gym or being in her apt. None of these looked like shilling events to me. Regardless Lauren is not on self promotional post breakup press tour. Ben is.

ETA  Lauren was obvious and forthcoming that they were struggling and "trying" for months.  Ben was rainbows and unicorns to the bitter end...happier than ever...marriage planning starting soon, blah blah blah. IMO.
