Ben Higgins - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

What the heck is Ben 2.0 theme going to be? That he is unlovable 2.0 I don't see Ben coming back tbh, though Rachel's guys are not a lock in, IMO some of them will have SM behind them for the gig before the season is over....all jmo.

It took 2 years for so many to see who Josh is, I think it'll take less time to see some true colors to be revealed. I am not a fan of Ben, but I think he has his right to tell his story too, especially when everyone thought he's the one to blame.

If Ben has a story to tell, then tell it. Don't drop these passive aggressive snippets here and there, and get his fans to attack Lauren again and again. He's doing that on purpose now, IMO. So far he's just been acting this 'poor me Lauren dropped me, I don't know how to be single, but she won't be restricting me and tying me down, she took all the furniture, oh wait, she really didn't, poor me', and Lauren has been dignified and quiet, healing with her loved ones. Imo he's the one being loud and manipulative.

I can only say I can't wait to see how it's going to unfold, I really can't wait.
I have more confidence in Ben than his ex, at least when we talk about being real
I guess when BIP comes, we will find out more about a certain ex.

Give me a break. Another interview about the breakup? Good Lord. I never want to hear that Lauren is the famechasing one and Ben is the low key, out of the limelight guy ever again. This guy is literally using the breakup as a way to get his name in magazines and articles again. What a phoney baloney. IMO.

Where did he say now he gets to live without restrictions? Omg. Poor Ben. Cry me a river.

I see no issue with the article. It appears to be 5280 Home doing a follow up with ben since their cover story for this coming up issue was about ben and Laurens home. Since they are no longer together and the orginal story is now irrelevant, imo a sitdown with either ben or lauren was necessity to fulfill whatever obligations they had with the magazine.

Ben is full of hot air when it comes to Bachelor related stuff. He literally talks in sound bites and platitudes. Truthfulness may manifest in other parts of his life but when it comes to B&L's relationship and Bachelor things....Ben rarely speaks the real truth.
I used to like Ben but the more I see him....the less I like him. When I think of the real Ben...I still visualize his pre season IG pose arms stretched out in a look at me attitude. I realize he meant to convey something else but the more I have seen him the more I see my perception of the I Am Ben...Ben.  I appreciate Ben's devotion to H&H and other philanthropy. However good someone is in one area does not make them good in others. Ben has a lot to learn about marital love IMO. I hope he stays single until he figures it out. And please please please stay off my Franchise TV.

I look back now at this year especially and think Ben is very manipulative and phony. His whole spiel on GMA while his mommy and daddy sat in the audience and Lauren was MIA was the first thing that made me really start to see Ben as phony what with him going on about being honest yet he couldn't even be honest about the status of his own relationship saying how "great" everything was when it wasn't. At least Lauren didn't fake it and was more honest about it. Not to absolve her since it takes two to tango but I think she got tired of having to fake things with someone who imo was more interested in an image and keeping up appearances of everything being "great" than in something real, flaws and all. Because even if it is flawed it's better than putting on a facade which is what I think Ben did and in part because imo that's just who he is.

Lasst couple pages don't have much love for Ben. Two thoughts - a relationship takes two to make it and break it so Ben is not completely at fault for the split. And second, as an only child with a presumably stay-at-home mom he has been catered to growing up. I admired him for leaving his family and comfortable life and starting his career in Denver. It would have been far easier for him to slip back into what was comfortable.

I hope there is no Ben2. It was dull enough the first time and I was neutral on him then. Now I'm thinking he is well on his way to becoming an a**. Stop talking dude! You didn't talk this much promoting your season.

I don't think people are blaming Ben for the breakup. It's the way he's handling it that's raising eyebrows. All about his image, IMO. I'd honestly have way more respect for him if he would just shutup with the whole "poor me, my house is empty BS". It's been practically empty for months. While he kept going away for work/visiting family, Lauren was always elsewhere too. jmo

Here are two people who seem to lack self-awareness in a relationship (imo). That's fine. It would be even better to stop discussing it in public and move forward. Nobody looks good badmouthing their ex and airing their dirty laundry.
