Ben Higgins - Bachelor 20 - Discussion

Regarding the whiskey cart that he apparently got to keep: he didn't want it. He threw a fit about it on HEA that he already had a whiskey cart via like Goodwill or something hand-me-down.

Maybe he did not want the new one, but Lauren probably got rid of the old one, so maybe the new one better than not having one.

I didn't watch HEA, but did Lauren basically throw out or donate everything that Ben had before she got there?

Well, yeah... for sure I'm guessing he's happy with the nice, new whiskey cart that he has now. Just laughing cause it was yet another thing he kind of threw a tantrum over on the show. The show never addressed what they did with Ben's old furniture. I'm assuming donated...

I didn't watch, but I assume Ben had furnishings when Lauren moved in. I can cut Ben a little slack if he got annoyed that everything if his had to go to make Lauren happy. Throwing out all his stuff is not creating their home, it is just making it all hers. Then after if she pushed to get rid of all his stuff and she took
All the new stuff except a whiskey cart, maybe that is a bit selfish. Usually things gotten together in a relationship are split evenly. JMO.

Serious post though: what prompted Ben to write that eulogy and explanation about the furniture? Is Lauren really being bullied about that? I think it's pretty fair she gets it. What else is she getting out of the situation? Ben still keeps his home, has his job, everything's the same. She is moving yet again, starting over in a new place. Plus she's the one that wanted, picked out, and advocated for said furniture to begin with.

Ben and Lauren seem to understand this though, and I do think both are so far hadling the split maturely with class and grace towards one and other. I know they loved each other - and I'm happy to see them take the high road, still speaking about each other with care. I hope that continues.

I agree with her taking most of the furniture..it was a little too stylish for a single guy to have IMO
and when he has a girlfriend she probably wouldn't be super cool with things from a past relationship. She's hardly starting over in a new place though. LA is where Lauren always wanted to be and IMO she has had this planned out for a long time. It was thoughtful of him to elaborate on what was just a snippet preview from the podcast.

Unless the gf lives with him, not sure why she'd care or have a say in what's in his house. Personally, I think she'd appreciate having something to sit on besides the floor. hopefully by the time that becomes an issue, he'll have picked up whatever furniture needed to replace whatever Lauren took with her.

When I moved to be with my now husband he was quite happy to have the nice leather living room furniture given to me by my ex-boyfriend. He would joke he got me and good furniture. I guess if he finds another jealous little creature, but I know I would not care and most of my girlfriends wouldn't either. JMO.

@ eulogy. He can be so extra sometimes. JMO.

He should just contact Joss&Main, Target, Overstock, Pier 1, etc. to see if they want to sponsor a new home makeover. Lol

Prob already has! Huh.. you are on to something. This was probably why he brought it up publicly to begin with. He's a sly one.
